And I just got an awesome working tablet from the pawn shop for $10, because they couldn't figure out factory reset. :)
Thanks for the help been wanting to do this for a while because ever since the last update for this this device it made the quickstep stock launcher really buggy where it refuses to close apps sometimes and I think I have to reset the devices cash from the recovery menu because it won't work in the settings app
If you notice, he/she/it/they/them, does not have the "Lock" icon in the upper left of the screen. This tablet is NOT Locked, there was no password assigned to the device...it may have been an older firmware version, but I doubt it...

This only put mine in safe mode. Holding volume down + power finally worked.
