They expected him to carry the team but he can't do that if his team mates aren't up to performing at a high level. Now if Wiggs maintains his rebound ability & aggression consistently, he'll make all star again not to mention GSW's win column!!!...😊😊😊
Wiggins did an outstanding performance woth rebounds and appearing out of no where to score. They are too busy guarding poole, curry and klay, they forgot that there is a number one pick in their presence
And the same can be said about the entire season sending him to the All Star game. I thought that he quieted down but needed to for the team. When they needed his they unleashed a ridiculous player on the best of every team they played AND he put down serious numbers!

@@tracysharp1361 Wiggins was never a bust .....he was playing in the wrong system ......and wrong culture......playing with guys with a championship dna and comaraderie was contingent on his growth .......and helped him develop offensively .......defensively .....as well as mentally.
Once he tasted GLORY , he will be out for more of it ! GSW know how to develop talent and he has plenty of it.
If the wolves had a consistent and good coach and front office I think Wiggins career would have gone differently. He was getting a new coach every year asking him to play with a completely different style.

Love the Wiggins story. he may have been soft and unmotivated but now hes a completely different player. hes hard to play against and no longer soft. Perfect compliment to the Warriors system. The Humble Warrior who will get even better.
As for the thing about Jimmy not being happy with the young guys, Wiggins wasn't even one of them, Jimmy actually really likes Wiggs. If Jimmy liked him when everyone thought he was just being lazy and unfocsed on the court it shows there was a lot more going on behind the scenes in minnesota

Coming out of KU his main thing was wanting to be the number 1 draft pick in which he did..I think with his skill set all throughout H.S. and college was just enough, the drive of being a complete pro looks like it's sinking in now

There is something special with this years Worriers. With KD leaving and many injuries, they may not be the 3-pointer scoring machine like they used to be, but there are far more teamwork, defense gets to a whole new level, everyone cares for each other and determined to win. In game 5 Curry didn't score so much but he creates so many opportunities for his teammates to shine, and they stepped up to take over the game. At that moment I really like this worriers team more than 17's prime one. They now have something that makes me appreciate more than breaking Bull's winning record and winning the title
