- The G-BKF from Liebherr is an armoured rescue crane on a four-axle mobile crane chassis. It has excellent off-road capability and great manoeuvrability. The G-BKF is flexible and economical to run since it is equipped both for hoisting loads and for rescuing vehicles.

Don't know why I'm watching Liebherr crane commercials, but man these things are impressive!
im sittin here watching this inquisitively as if i were planning to buy one
I have two questions after watching this.
1, why was this recommended to me??
2, Why do i now want one of these..?
3... Is a hot war zone and the need for a crane so so commonplace that you need both (an armored crane)?
I mean the answer to question 2 is pretty self explanatory. These are awesome

1: No clue. I work with machinery so it kinda makes sense.
2: Because it is so versatile that you could go anywhere. even San Francisco with that steering
3: Yes. Often vehicles get stuck or supplies need unloading.
I will own one of these one day. lol convert it to a Tree Trimming Service Truck... haha This thing is an absolute UNIT

I was a Libebherr crane operator for 8 years.And they make one of most beautiful and powerful machine's on the market!!!
This would be very handy to have around the house.
That was my thought. Would really help in hanging the christmas lights each year.

An acquaintance of mine got his car trailer stuck in a sloped & crowned parking lot. He called for a tow but kept working his semi and was very happy when he managed to unstick it before the tow truck showed up and he had to pay that bill ($$$!) The tow truck driver, not so much.
It's always a good day when you can beat the tow truck out of his pay by self rescue and brains,because there is a shortage of exercising that grey matter between their ears.
You can buy a surplus Oshkosh Hemtt wrecker . Not quite as fancy but same capacity . I used them in Iraq.
@@randywilliams4325 not the same... doesn't have a crane in that variant. Personally i want a civilian variant of this truck... without the armor plating and bullet resistant windows. would be far cheaper that way.
The Obsesed Anime Freaks the wrecker I used in Iraq had a fold up crane in the middle and a rubber sling tow rig on the back . Plus a winch or 2 . It was powered by a Detroit 8v92 with Allison trans . You can buy these at auctions in the USA.Not all have the armor pack . We used it to pull cabs off of the trucks we were working on .

Drove one of these ALOT while in the Army. Glad I was fully trained on one as none of my other friends can ever say that.

Great bit of kit,only trouble is as with many modern vehicles,too many systems rely on electronics,more to go wrong,and usually that would be in the middle of a hot combat area,Great vid,keep them coming.

Все слишком сложно. Боевая машина ведь. Пока лебедку ставить будешь замочат сто раз. Он очень тяжёлый и низкий.по плохим дорогам не пройдёт. Это с германских автобанов эвакуировать технику. В реальных конфликтах надо гусиницы. Там столько электроники и гедравлики устаниш его самого чинить. Проще надо все. Нельзя сразу лебедку с переди поставить а не с ящика достовать. Бред машина.

@@patrickc1508 Agreed. I used work at a Avionics Corp. I was repairing equipment made in 1975 - Finally came in for service in 2012..One engineer said to me, "We made 15,000 of them. Less than 10 came back for Service. Rest are still out there".

Damn that's a nice unit. Only thing missing is a bottle opener and kitchen sink and dozer blade.
Dozier blade comes armoured recovery vehicle, check it out . This behemoth is mainly heavy wheel recovery. Still kool so.

Very impressive tech! Imagine the same but with electric motors and batteries. Not feasible at this time, but when electric drivetrains become more commonplace, it’ll take this to a whole new level.
I want to build an RV on this chassis and I want it outfitted by UNICAT Expedition Vehicles. I want this so badly. The drive train, steering and suspension are amazing.

it can. it would require the outriggers to be put down. with the air suspension they can almost shimmy it sideways.

Perfect for the London school run.
The only thing I could even say it was missing is a way to stabilize the container when it was in transit. Maybe side winches to accomplish that and use the under lift as a bumper for forward swing. That's a wild rig though.

I'm going to invest in one of these in the future, for a lifting/rigging company, the armoring can come in handy for if we need to lend it to the police for swat and other uses.

That thing is an absolute beast, with so many well-thought features and specialties. I just have one question: how practical are all those manual steering and handling programs when in a time crunch? Would automatic programs with full-time manual overrides be a significant improvement?

not really most all terrain cranes can do it, and so can rough terrains.

1. Необходимость появления экипажа на местности. Могут быть выкошены снайпером.
2. Необходимость менять остнастку во время работы экипажем.
3. Неавтоматическая подкачка колес делает машину уязвимой на вязких грунтах.
4. Лебёдка может быть и встроенной.
