Judging from what you've shown I don't think I will try this lens but I have my eye on something similar have not yet pulled the trigger on but you are giving me the confidence to do it with the quality of your shots. You are an excellent photographer and I admire your work!

Thanks very much for watching! I am curious what the similar product you have your eye on is! Id like to try it if it is affordable :o

@@YvonneHansonPhotography Already got the 7Artisans 18mm F6.3 M4/3 mount. I’m surprised by it considering the limitations. I have 2 profiles BTW I’m the same person but much cooler, I know doesn’t make sense but it was funny to me for a moment I guess. LOL. Anyway I really admire your work.

Very interesting idea. I use old 2mp and 5mp point & shoot digicams that already have cheap tiny fixed focus lenses that will give that "plastic camera" film effect.

I had to think about this video when I came across a dealer offering the Holga's lens for Nikon F mount the other day. I could not resist. Very excited for it to arrive.

I'm so glad I found the lens, it was almost too perfectly placed right there in the discount bin hahaha. Thanks for watching!

I love the lenses on the original Dianas ... at least the '60s and '70s copies. They had some weird magic. I might consider one of these for the right price, though! I'm a sucker for soft focus.

Funny, I had the opposite experience shopping for my Diana lens and adapter. I ordered a lens second hand because the description indicated, it would fit on a Nikon F-mount camera. Of course, when it arrived there was no adapter. Luckily, the adapter was also for sale at the same web shop, and I managed to get it as well. I'm using the 20mm Fisheye lens on an old Nikon D70. I get sharp photos with a ton of chromatic aberration and often barrel distortion, but no vignetting.
I've only ever shot it on a very overcast gloomy day, so I need to try it out on a sunnier day - and perhaps on my full frame DSLR - just to see if that results in vignetting or not.
But, I like the lo-fi lens-camera combination, so for now, the Nikon D70 is where my Diana+ lens lives. It's my impression, the adapter has a fixed aperture of f10, but it's not really that important with this setup as it very much requires a trial and error kind of approach.
As for the fit of the lens and adapter, mine is so tight, I'm worried I might break it, if I try to remove the adapter from the lens, but I guess, that's a good thing seeing yours.

Hahaha I love how different that is- especially the adaptor being so tight to the lens. Wish I had that problem! I didn't actually mention it but I haven't gotten any vignetting either. I think the actual vignetting in Diana photos is a quirk of the camera body shape, not the lens. I get the same annexations you describe..would highly recommend shooting in the sun, you'll get some pretty cool results, though it might be difficult to angle away from the sun with the fish eye

@@YvonneHansonPhotography I will definitely try it in sunnier conditions, but I do like the almost grungy look, I got shooting it on an overcast day. I just tagged you on Instagram in one of my favorite Diana+Nikon shots, just so you can see, what I'm on about.

Kinda reminds me of my bodycap lens by M.Zuiko. Definitely interesting!

I just looked it up, and it looks fun! and cheap enough- I might score one for a future video

@@YvonneHansonPhotography so there are 2 of them! A 9mm fisheye body cap and a 15mm wide angle body cap. Both f8 om pretty sure. But lomography also has a 3 piece microfourthirds creative lens pack that is usually under $20. Ive yet to get it but im sure I will soon! So much fun!

Just a comment, in regards to the lens flying off. I just bought the adapter and the lens as well, and I think it needs a bit of a twist when connecting both and it will lock into each other. It is quite easy but harder to unfasten. Give it a try maybe it will work with what you’ve got. Just be extra careful.

    • @YvonneHansonPhotography
      @YvonneHansonPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว

I think mine might have a bit of a flaw, because I can't get this twist to work, but it makes sense knowing that its something wrong on my end and not a design flaw over all. Thanks for the info!

I get similar results when my infants super grimy finger print covers my whole digicams lens, to each their own.
