Remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm. 2 In a small bowl, combine ½ cup warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Stir and let sit for 10 minutes until bubbly. 3 In a large bowl, combine the cooled butter mixture, yeast mixture, eggs, and salt. Mix well. 4 Gradually add sifted flour and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes or until doubled in size. For the Filling (Choose One): Cinnamon-Sugar: 2 tbsp softened butter + ⅓ cup sugar mixed with 1 tsp cinnamon + Chopped walnuts (optional) Assemble the wreath: Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle (about 18 x 12 inches). Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the dough. Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from the long side. Cut the log lengthwise down the middle to expose the layers. Twist the two halves together, keeping the cut sides facing up. Shape the twist into a circle and pinch the ends together to form a wreath. 4. Final rise: Place the wreath on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover lightly, and let it rise for 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
