I agree with ya' Short Fuse. I take my KOF very serious since I played the first KOF'94 in arcades. I would have love to see a more fluid and heavily 2D animated or cell-shaded models for KOF. It looks so much like the Maximum Impact series. This troubles me heavily....man.
Hey Short Fuse, im new to KoF, but I've heard a lot of positive things about it, from Juicebox and a good number of friends. I watched the KoF13 top 8 at EVO and I'm not sure how I feel about it- im new to fighters in general. There seems to be a big community split between games, but I just wanna know which you would consider good starting points for KoF-- '98, UM, '02, UM, XI or XIII. Those seem like the main ones people like.
+cancelled if youre new to KoF and fighting games in general,i'd go with 98 and 12 for a few months...good games to get to know the characters and learn the fundamentals of how KoF operates...(just make sure you invest in a fightstick and play with that from the get-go)
SNK has announced that they are going to shut down pachinkos and that the developers of the pachinkos are now going to be passed on SNK console games. It also means the animation that the pachinkos has are now going to be on SNK games in the future.
Street Fighter V has a larger and more diverse fan base. That is how they can make the drastic changes they have made and still get prays from Casuals, Beginners, Intermediates, and a quite smaller percentage of Skilled, Hardcore, and Pro players. KOF has a smaller fan base made possibly of over 90% Skilled, Hardcore and Pro players. I would consider myself an intermediate player. I've only been a KOF fan for about 3 years now, but I feel as though I understand how hardcore play works in KOF more so than others on my level or below even if I have yet to execute that understanding with my own hands. Even a low level like me can see that appealing to you guys in the Hardcore range is the only way to have any success, for KOF at least.
Sérgio Vinícius i dont know...somewhere along the way it faded out of the mainstream and it never managed to come back ever since.and i doubt it ever will...if 13 didnt do the trick,i dont know what could...unless....CVS3?that might reawaken some of the interest for KoF

You laid it down man. Yes the characters look super-imposed and not organic like in previous KOF titles. Reminds me of Maximum Impact...only way shittier.
I just want to be inclusive roster with the grey gameplay. and give us the best versions. like XI versions. maybe you Robert of 03. and I want to see nameless with easy controls. a great boss character. a real 3d story mode. crossover games like mark of the wolves characters. Mr karate with a fireball. really just the best iterations of characters. maybe three versions like in Mortal Kombat for heros. hidden boss characters. heroes from all SNK games.
