"within reason", i guess. i dont know how they approached combos in xiv (never played it). but if it ends up being like xii or street fighter 5 i'd be pretty disappointed. i hate this trend of stripping down game mechanics and leaving them an empty, easy-mode,casual shell of their former self. they seem to be chasing after an audience that wont be sticking around for long anyway, while simultaneously alienating the people who made these franchises what they are and have been flipping the bill for over 30 years. i dnt boycott these games out of principle. i just dont have any interest in them.why drink freshly squeezed beet juice when you can drink a 20 year old scotch....
@@ShortFuseFighting Perhaps you should give a look at some KOFXIV combo videos or tournament matches. Compared to stuff like SFV most of the basics (for example 1 frames links) are actually pretty identical to XIII. It's mainly the upfront big combo mechanic that is much simpler. The max mode being how you get EXs and said EXs giving you obvious and easier combo potential with multi dedicated launches, wall bounces, and crumbles. Also the auto combo stuff tends to go 99% unused, they end up being never worth it, say maybe 1 weird instance with this one 4 meter Sylvie combo I've seen.
@@theivace9705 i'll give it a looksie, but...the way i see it. why should i play a game thats LIKE kofxiii,but easier and worse looking? i just dont see an incentive whenever i feel like a franchise is going backwards.i might snag a cheap 2nd hand copy of xiv. wanna see whats up
