I thought Scizor gonna win this battle.
Y'know, Tyranitar is much slower than Scizor, Scizor can learn strong Bug type moves and Bullet Punch which are super effective for Tyranitar.
I have Tyranitar...but it beaten by Scizor...

I agree, I think taking items into account is silly, because then almost any argument would be made for either side. The fact of the matter is, if Scizor uses a Fighting type move on Tyranitar, Tyranitar is done. If Tyranitar uses a Fire type move on Scizor, Scizor is done. Both situations are possible, so it comes down to personal preference in the end I think. I favor Tyranitar myself, but I have to be realistic, either side can win this fight.

@pokeninja24 true but type advantages + stacked attacks still apply in most cases even in the show, only Ash's pokemon seem immune to defeat on any level

Meh, as a Scizor fan I'm a little down now, but since this was a capturing battle, that Scizor is likely to get properly trained from now on.
also Tyranitar's Shoop da woop on red is awesome.
Using four attacks with different types is an in-game tactic, one that works against other trainers in the games. The thing is, it only works because they haven't made a decently hard game since colloseum. I'm talking about competitive standards, where strategies consist of more than giving a pokemon four random moves and ignoring it's stats, nature etc. Competitively, Scizor will usually beat Tyranitar. Not always, but usually.
Too bad u stopped making these, they are epic.

also pedal dance is a grass type move which is strong against bug types like Scizor

Give T-tar hyperbeam and use it against a steel type in competitive and give scizor unstabbed quick attack over bullet punch which already existed at this point in time and see where that gets you. The only thing that made sense here was t-tars eq and scizors x-scissor.

How boss would a pokemon game with the play style of smash bros brawl be, like how pokemon trainer works in smash bros but with like 200+ pokemon, idk how people like Gyridos would work but the game would still be awesome lol
