The gin rin was amazing, amazing patterns by far the best gin rin I've seen. All of the fish are out of this world you'd have to go there with one or two fish in mind or your head would get scrambled. Oh definitely the Showa beautiful pattern deep defined color definition! Great body lines but I'm not a judge and there all beautiful it's hard to pick but if I had to it would definitely be the Showa!
Hi evo 👋🏻 Without hesitation that showa owned by annie lips is my favourite you can clearly see the sumi (black) is covering the beni (red) in places but where it's on the shiroji (white) it's still that inky black lacquer we all desire. although the hi utsuri is on my list (trying to find one that i like at a reasonable price 🙃🙄) it's a close second. Love that Goshiki Hikariutsuri & the kawarigoi , Whats the difference between Doitsu & Sanke and also a bekko & shiro utsuri ... both look same I always get confused... love the detailed video with super closeups.
See now I've just seen the asagi heads gone from one breed to the next that fish even looks like two of mine. If I were shopping for people with their money I'd get the best of what they wanted without a doubt but with big decisions comes anormous responsible, I could do that now problem. They are a beautiful array of coloured fish. .. BUT ABSOLUTELY MEANINGLESS TO FILM IN SUCH LENGTHY AND LOVING DETAIL UNLESS WE (THE VIEWER) KNOW WHAT THE CRITERIA FOR JUDGING IS BASED ON. Don't assume that people outside the "koi hobbyists" won't understand the subtleties of scalation, colour borders or depth ... you need to add the conformation, theory and variation in colour criteria these fish are judged on otherwise these fish posts are meaningless except for diehard collectors and breeders. Once we are informed it will make viewing these clips a wonderful and educational experience. You know ... actually learning something. I am really interested and would love to know what made these particular koi champions ... and it is frustrating not understanding what I am looking at ... beyond pretty colour combinations.

The body shape quality of 'skin' or scales are the most important, then the base colour (usually white) should be clean and fresh. I think lve picked that much up. Pattern is actually last to be judged but does be the decider if nothing else can, l believe.
