Interesting about the angle of the "spring" that turns - I wonder if the valve is closed so tight as to break something inside of the actuator motor assembly. Thanks for sharing....

very possible.. but the flaps move perfectly loose, they aren bound up.. we'll see if another rattle comes back, the next time i switch my exhaust.. (prob end up being today, cuz i have nothing to do...)

Did you end up figuring this out? I’m putting an exhaust on my Mk7R and the actuator is clocked wrong so I’m wondering how to get it reoriented to fit into my exhaust.

well all i do is connect it to the car without installing in the exhaust. then cycle all the the way into dynamic mode. then turn the car off and see if the tips return to normal pin position.

@@LastHumansGarage Maybe it’s because mines a stick, but I couldn’t get anything to happen just idling the car and selecting modes. I should have tried revving it but the engine was cold. So I’m at a loss as to what actuates them.

I am experiencing the same problem, I was told that the spring is self-adjustable once you fit the spring in the actuator.
But im yet to find out, any idea on it self adjusting by itself? My spring doesn't seem to align no matter how I put it?

@@ChappzlWell I just bolted it together with the spring misaligned and I’m going to drive it. I’ll try and report back. Hard part will be knowing if it falls into the groove once assembled.

So is there a contactor telling the motor where to stop? Such as a microswitch?

they are working well.. but honestly, i'd get contis next time and save 4 lbs per corner. and it would still handle well. and theyre cheaper.
