Hello, thanks for yours video's contents. I don't think that the scent the skunk projects in defense should be added to the player's scent, as it's different and strong enough to overpower his own, and should therefore diminish the zombies' ability to track him. Like washing, putting on an odorant or "waterproofing" substance (like mud, for example) reduces body odors or their emanations. This is something I'd like to see evolve in the overall game mechanics. We could even use certain corpse components as a camouflage mechanism. What do you think about it ?
So we used to have the ability to mask ourselves using a harvestable organ from zombies, which was removed when we decided it shouldn't work that way. As for the scent, to a zombie skunks are still food, so I think covering my human scent with a more powerful skunk scent would still make me more easily tracked, in my opinion. As for camouflaging scents in general, I don't know the dev direction/lore on that.
@@TheMurderUnicorn First of all, thank you for your reply. If indeed the aim is to keep a certain difficulty by avoiding exploiting the mechanics of the zombies' sense of smell by camouflaging the player's scent, it's a valid argument, even if it could have been an interesting mechanic in the game.
They're more impressive now than they were back in the day. There are always problems with their behavior, but their value is much higher, mostly because they can disassemble things or vehicles or craft for you through the faction camps and whatever.. By default the game uses a mod that prevents you from having to feed them (unless you have a faction camp with them).
@@TheMurderUnicorn Well I dont mind microing my followers (me and my girlfriend play CDDA and we like to spawn both of us in our own game worlds as followers) bc I figured out how to switch to them with debug. Do non-follower npcs know how to survive and take care of their needs without the mod?
@@TheMurderUnicorn Oh and your so right a out their behavior. I once did a test run spawning in a boarded house with an npc and we got overran with over 300 zombies breaking through the barricades. I noticed the situation got dire immediately as I fought tooth and nail over counters and chairs and the npc was busy trying to break thru a boarded window to make an escape possible as we were trapped. Just that bit of detail shows me the npcs are quite human. We both died lol.
Hello Mr.Unicorn friend, I don't know about your personal life, but I invite you to open your heart to God and seek the Lord Jesus in prayer, ask him to manifest in your life so that you may know him in a personal way, God is truly the one who cares about us the most but we get so far away from him with our life choices that we begin to fall in all types of ailments and confusions, open your heart to seek him truly and he will change your life forever as he changed mine. Wish you the best, God Bless you and your family. 🙏✝️❤
Commendable. When I was depressed all I did was exist.
I added a PR recently to fix NPC's massive game lag when they try to craft something that they can't craft.
Hey man, watching your videos makes me happy, I'm sure I'm not the only one either. Hope you get better
I love the additonal entries for the Nightmares! Thanks for contributing to this awesome game.
You have a great voice man, you'd make for an awesome audiobook narrator

Thanks for giving us nightmares.
Nice work man, makes me want to start working on it as well
Thank you for your amazing contributions to this great game ! Hope you're doing well.
Glad to hear from you man, keep up!
Great work!
Does anyone know what the state of NPCs are. Im new to the game and got my first follower. They seem competent. Can they drink or eat on their own?
