@@davidmin2727 It is because march is a fine piece of music.
I do not know if this matters but during the wars against Louis XIV's Catholic France, French Huguenots formed complete regiments in the service of Protestant countries of England, Netherlands and some German states. Some these French Huguenot regiments served alongside the English and Scots guard regiments in the same battles. This was at the same time as complete regiments of Catholic Scots and Irish served in the armies of Catholic countries of France, Spain, some Italian states and other nations. A very tragic and bloody time in European history.

Interesting to see that the Bass Drummer has what I guess is an electronic metronome on the drum to ensure that the correct BPM is maintained throughout.....

LOL - he's referring to the straightness of the lines and the spacing, which is a little off (but only slightly). Having done massed bands on that Parade ground I would say it's pretty good actually. Brenda seems to be enjoying it though, which is what matters.

..This March borrowed by our best English enemies, is taken from a French opera "Les Huguenots" which tells an impossible love story between a Catholic and a Protestant in the context of the religious wars that set France ablaze in the 16th century. ...just like God save the king "Grand DieuSauveur le Roy" which was written in 1686 by Madame de Brinon, superior of the Royal House of Saint-Louis and the music composed by the famous Lully" because of the healing of the Sun King.........God save UK
