Because I'm bored and I want to write something, here's some translation for people who aren't familiar with Combine terminology "Our A.I has confirmed this area is now controlled by the combine" "All units, get ready to fight." "Keep your eyes peeled, and your ears open" "Understood. Approaching coordinates 9-37 (not exactly coordinates, but I assume it's something similar to a precise location)" "Something's attacking us up close!" "Headcrab infestation is confirmed at coordinates 9-37. Waiting for a high commanding unit to give orders" "Follow sentencing procedure. Proceed with containment" "Copy that. We're moving in to control the infestation" "I see zombies." "Nothing is behind you." "I'm seeing zombies too." "Making sure that I'm seeing what I'm seeing..." "Yep, those are zombies" "Proceeding with hostility." "All visible hostiles neutralized" "Report the situation" "Zombies are dead." "Copy that. Keep going forward to ensure nothing's left." "Got it. Moving forward." "LOOK OUT!" "No, you look out!" "HOLY SHIT!" "Get behind me!" "WE'VE LOST CONTROL, WE'VE LOST CONTROL, WE'VE LOST CONTROL!" "Requesting additional units!"
Poor Ordinal. Immediately fell in love with the unit as the game was released. I also love the way you communicate the battle sense and what goes on in a soldiers mind. And although I really enjoyed more, cognitive looking units for a change. In my opinion, I don't think it was very realistic for the Charger to shoot his weapon out of fear. It would be more realistic for a grunt to do so because they are still human. As seen in actual in game AI, grunts when near death will run for their life a far distance from the player and seek cover. All other Combine enemies in the game, will seek cover, and retreat. But do so in a more... Tactical manor, grunts just run for the hills. This doesn't really bother me to be completely honest, it just came to my attention and I found it worthwhile to point out.

I wish your content was a drug, I'd be injecting it right into my bloodstream. I seriously hope you don't plan on stopping anytime soon!
68k subs? With the quality tier videos you make that number is going to skyrocket
This is not just an amazing animation, but also a meticulous one as well. See the headcrab splatter on the forcefield getting removed by the heavy combine. All those small details make it so immersive. Keep up the good work!
These are so insanely good. The voices especially. I love hearing the combine chatter
I live for the "HOLY SH*T" from the grunt
that wasnt a grunt that was the ordinal (captain)
@@weirdpersonidk6336 blud check his voice lines+he doesnt use ar-1 like ordinal
I love that you're not only showing situations to realistically explain why Wallhammers are not useless while also showing that replacing them with regular shotgun soldiers was still a great idea
It’s actually crazy how talented this dudes animations are, he’s gotta make a half life alyx movie.
I like how they both communicated well to each other and handled with the situation briefly, and actually knew what they are doing, absolutely love it.
This really puts into perspective how terrible the portal storm must have been for earth as a whole. Rural areas all around the world suddenly becoming infested with Xen fauna and flora, massive migration into urban centers, a sharp reduction in the volume of trade and food production, logistics in disarray. By the time the combine start the invasion of Earth the planet must have been already in chaos.
Bro I NEED a drg gameplay styled combine co-op shooter like this. Like EXACTLY LIKE THIS. I can't get enough of your animations. Never stop
Genuinely stunning work.
This feels and looks like a AAA Sci-Fi movie. I don't know how hard SFM is let alone S2FM. So hats off to you sir for making something so unique. Would love to see more of this at any time.
I'm curious to see how this was composited, the visuals and visual story telling is on a league of its own, absolutely stunning ParryGod.
You just sort of feel the emotion in a way I can't describe. Anti-citizen brought with it the sense of dread all sides had, and this brings at first controlled procedure and confidence, only to quickly, but not instantly, delve into panic and hysteria
love your work and really hope there's more to come in the future. took me all of 2 seconds to hit the like button. honestly dont know how you dont have more views.
the fact your shorts all just feel like little windows into the HL universe is what i like most. nothing crazy or over the top, just stories that add depth to the world. it all feels like canon to me.
I love that you can still hear the pov character still breathing after being shot, armor probs saved his life
Another high quality animation thank you mate
My god these animations are banger after banger! You definitely deserve a job making valve trailers and/or even animated feature length movies based on half life
I thought they would both survive
Also your animations are awesome
15/10
one survived... as a zombie
@@SCP-mt7bc arguably a worse fate
@@SCP-mt7bc I was gonna say that.
im suprised i didnt found this channel earlier the quality of these sfm's are amazing
I love the whole idea of this type of stuff especially the soldiers in the video, and how they are not completely brain dead like the person we are looking out of saying "Holy Shit!", Amazing work.
That was incredible - not just in terms of animation and composition but also atmosphere! I didn't click why he was constantly swinging with his head movements, looking at everything until the crabs rushed out, of course he was checking every nook and cranny for them. Great animation well done!
this guy is fucking amazing and even if he takes some time to make his animations they are all worth the wait
That is so cool, would love to see more of such eye pleasing cinematics.
This is the best work I have seen out of the others, GOOD JOB MATE
Absolutely amazing as always. The lighting was perfect and don't even get me started on the first person view. Also this actually puts in perspective on how dangerous headcrabs and infected are. Good job I hope u had fun and see you at the next one!
♥️
god dame this is good me and some buddys of mine we were talking about how good your animations are and we all whatched this yesterday and we all agreed you are the best s2fm animator in the world man
Holy wow, this is insane. You should've called this video "Valve please hire me".
This channel as a whole is severely underrated
The animations are beyond great, they drown you in the setting, atmosphere and action
This is seriously so cool! I always love seeing your stuff. I would really like to see more first person footage like this in s2fm, if you want to. Keep it up!
Daaamn, dude, you expand the lore of HL so much with these vids. I'd like to see more of such immersive shorts just to get the feeling of depth and direness of the HL universe, it truly has limitless potential. It exists for more than 20 years and still HL captivates me this much...
This is insane. Really well done, particularly with communicating the story with just visual. Your skill reminds me of the guy behind Astartes and I really look forward to what you next produce
Man, what an amazing job!!! Your talent is insane!
Shooting semi-automatic like a true operator. Respect.
This is absolutely amazing, I am speechless right now. All I can really say is bravo!
your animations make half life universe even more interesting
I would say this looks like a cinematic... but bro... this looks real! Everything is so well made, animation, lighting sound, everything!
As a disabled person born with 22qq and dealing with anxiety issues and currently in his gamedev career and working on a cool project for Source (total conversion btw :)) , your work inspired me a lot and your animations it's always great to see it.
Valve should hire you
“OUTBREAK, OUTBREAK, OUTBREAK” I LOVE how you incorporated the Overwatch lingo of when there’s one squad member left alive they say outbreak three times
This is basically SFM milked out to the max
To be honest this the most realistic SFM videio iv'e ever watched its more like i was watching a movie scene The sound effect The tactics And cummunication was really realistic speacially by the time the Wall Hammer unit got Cought by a Head Crab its sound effect was really good VERY NICE WORK MATE KEEP IT UP AND I CAN TELL THIS IS ALREADY A MASTER PEACE
Because I'm bored and I want to write something, here's some translation for people who aren't familiar with Combine terminology
"Our A.I has confirmed this area is now controlled by the combine"
"All units, get ready to fight."
"Keep your eyes peeled, and your ears open"
"Understood. Approaching coordinates 9-37 (not exactly coordinates, but I assume it's something similar to a precise location)"
"Something's attacking us up close!"
"Headcrab infestation is confirmed at coordinates 9-37. Waiting for a high commanding unit to give orders"
"Follow sentencing procedure. Proceed with containment"
"Copy that. We're moving in to control the infestation"
"I see zombies."
"Nothing is behind you."
"I'm seeing zombies too."
"Making sure that I'm seeing what I'm seeing..."
"Yep, those are zombies"
"Proceeding with hostility."
"All visible hostiles neutralized"
"Report the situation"
"Zombies are dead."
"Copy that. Keep going forward to ensure nothing's left."
"Got it. Moving forward."
"LOOK OUT!"
"No, you look out!"
"HOLY SHIT!"
"Get behind me!"
"WE'VE LOST CONTROL, WE'VE LOST CONTROL, WE'VE LOST CONTROL!"
"Requesting additional units!"
I love the helmet cam vibe of it, and also the combine (I assume) grunt movement feels so natural.
it sounds like an ordinal
@@Blue_color_of_control its a grunt, ordinals dont say "holy sh-..."
@@axelaugust5552 i know that now. at first it sounded like an ordinal's vocoder instead of a grunt to me.
Yep it's a grunt, they use the tiny baby smg
Its a fucking charger bruh
Heavy Metro vibes from this one. Did the Charger panic-fire? Or was that headcrab *just that quick* at taking over?
Definitely a panic fire from the charger, he shot twice while swinging his arms trying to get the crab off
wow, impressive quality, excellent work!
+NutDealer the Grunt made the accidental shot. The reason why the charger made his own shot is because he was zombified/infected
@@thedoruk6324 As stated by the *Animator*. He specifically pointed out that it was not instant zombification, but a panicked pull of the trigger.
@@Union- I have reas that But I thought he meant the panicked and uncoordinated Grunt.
Thought The Chargers still have a degree of emotions and instincts too than
@@thedoruk6324 There is no Grunt in this film.
@@Union- there is. The main character is the grunt. You got it wrong. The only time the ordinal contacted is the beggining of the scene where they confirm the infestation
I love your work so much! Can't wait to see what you make next!
Dude has like perfect aim, but when its against Freemann they shoot everywhere but at him lmao.
Anyway, cool video
Would be pretty frustrating to play the games if you got insta headshotted the moment they saw you. And thanks!
This is amazingly well made! Thank you for sharing your art with the rest of us!!
Another great video. Love the first-person perspective. And while I do love how brutal and efficient you portray the Combine in your previous works, seeing headcrabs get the drop on them was a fun change of pace.
THE AMOUNT OF DETAILS IS INSANE. at 0:30 as the POV soldier is backing up he feels something brushing on his back and only after shooting he looks behind to check seeing the metal handle. Simply insane
I've been introducing my girlfriend to the "Alien" movie anthology. This is giving me first time I saw those movies vibes.
*Thank you for the Content* !
Bro. Absolutely incredible work. What a huge contribution to the community. Keep it up!
Thanks!
Only 4 months late seeing this. Thank you for the support!
THIS IS SO WELL MADE!
How the hell do you not have millions of subscribers
Rip 2 combine grunts, to be missed
One was a charger and the other grunt or ordinal
@@PTSDDDEVIL actually the ordinal was communicating with the grunt
@@ish2008 just said grunt or ordinal , _ ,
You know I was half expecting Jeff of all people to come down the hallway, with the famous "my names Jeff" in the background.
aww no flat line? still really good though
Fucking sick, you make atmospheres and perspectives so well! The constant glancing from side to side and behind just really shows how nervous the soldier is in the infection site
Hey ParryGod, great stuff as always. If I wanted to explore this field and eventually do stuff like you do, is there somewhere I should start? I've tried looking at SFM stuff and my caveman brain has had trouble making sense of it. Is there a tutorial or learning program somewhere you can recommend?
Please keep up the good work, I love your stuff.
Thank you!
The best place to start would be Valve's own tutorial series on the original SFM. Basic controls and such translate over to S2FM.
Other than that, I've went through a process of trial and error myself, looking up tutorials whenever I got stuck on something. Also there is an SFM discord and reddit where you'll 100% find help for any problem.
@@TheParryGod Thank you kindly. Appreciate you taking time to respond.
