Holy shit I love this band. Thank you for the footage. Saw them in Omaha, NE 10 years ago when they put out The Coloring Book EP and everyone who was at the show got one. It was one of the best shows ever.
It was weird looking back. Going to shows with like 8 bands before Glassjaw starting at 4pm with no smartphone and not old enough for drinks at the bar to pass time. Fucking unthinkable now but the energy was insane.
Loved Glassjaw's music for decades now, saw them w/ Deftones long time ago. Hammer & sickle though, fuck that. I'll never understand why anyone would support any authoritarian ideology responsible for the deaths millions, whether fascism, socialism/communism, theological or other. When those in control hold power over the inherent rights of the individual only oppression, unnecessary suffering & deaths follow. The reason this always occurs is because too much power is given over the common ppl. And when this happens the power hungry & elites ALWAYS wiggle their slimy selves in because they're perfectly set up to allow such. I don't get reply notifs & I know the common reply is all those countries practicing socialism/communism "weren't doing it right." All I'll say is read what notable socialists & communists were saying during the times prior to indications of collapse or serious violations of human rights. Nearly all said they are leading examples to follow. This was the common consensus & they were wrong. There is no reason to believe it would somehow work "this time." Don't ever give the power hungry, elites or anyone unchecked power over others unless oppression, suffering & death is your goal.
