I don't even know why on earth does GRIEVA get so much hate? I mean, look at them, they look amazing and their music is just great. Stop comparing them to Dir En Grey. Like, maybe their music is kinda alike but that doesn't mean that Kyouki is copying Kyo. Like what the hell.
They are Tribute band, not a cover band. They do their own music, not covers, but they are openly inspired by Dir En Grey. There is nothing wrong with it. They reinterpret Diru songs and video. But they don't copy. That's not copying
DEG copied Luna Sea's "G," , I'll is suspiciously similar to Tsuioku by D=Sire, and Miss Moonlight by Kuroyume, Also, Dir en Grey used the riff to Kuroyume's "Yuri no Hanataba" in Mazohyst of Decadence. Kyo's famous black tear eye makeup, which was most likely taken from Kon of La'Mule, since he popularised it's use among 90's bands, but started by Kiyoharu of Kuroyume, though Kiyoharu didn't use it as much, to even the band's name, which comes from a Lareine song, "Dir en Gray".
coldzzzzxxxx They didn't copy Kuroyume. Kyo was Kuroyume's roadie. This is how he started his career. So it is normal that Kyo (and Dir in general) have some influences from Kuroyume
@@zuN-ch5ed They're just making an argument that it's OK to take influences from other things you like, and that that doesn't make it "copying." People seem to get all twisted up about Grieva, because they think they're "copying" Dir en grey, when in reality Diru is just clearly a big influence. Because of how popular they are nowadays, everyone notices, but just they don't recognize similar influences in other bands, that doesn't mean that they have their own influences as well. If we grew up listening to the older bands Dir en grey was influenced by, we'd probably be complaining about them too 😄
Cosmo Orenji lmao Kyouki is trying to copy kyo voice, does kyouki sound terrible? the answer is no; therefore this is his own voice just deeper than how he used to sound in reload which vocalist can do if they want. At this point i would say they are ripping off their own songs.
