Seeing as they've admitted to being deeply inspired by Dir En Grey makes me believe it's likely they have credited Dir En Grey's "Cage" for the sample and I think this song is a beautiful and respectful homage to what Dir En Grey's VK years were while still maintaining a new Grieva sound. I hope they did credit Dir En Grey properly in this song and hope they gain the attention they deserve. Grieva brings hope to VK.

well then when would you start using the term "copy"? when the artists overtake the song as it is, without changing? it is a sad fact that GRIEVA have almost nothing even barely original about their music. every song has a theme takeover, it's almost like they provoke the listeners to notice this. even the costumes and music videos are often almost exactly copied. they're an image band, and yes they copy mostly Dir en grey, Deluhi, Kuroyume etc. but there's no hope telling that VK fans i guess, since music generally is not important in this genre. you're probably also one of these claiming Deathgaze were only "inspired" by BFMV when they wrote UNDEAD FACT....

I love the vocalist's voice, but this is CLEARLY a copy of 2 DIR EN GREY songs: Unknown.Despair.A Lost original version for the verses, and Cage for the Chorus...and it's even visually diru's old days, like in Gauze. This is and will surely be a great band, I don't know, that's the first time I listen to it, but you can tell whatever you want, the vocalist especially copy/paste Kyo's lines in these 2 musics adding some minimalist changments.
*Luna Sea's "G," , I'll is suspiciously similar to Tsuioku by D=Sire, and Miss Moonlight by Kuroyume, Also, Dir en Grey used the riff to Kuroyume's "Yuri no Hanataba" in Mazohyst of Decadence. Kyo's famous black tear eye makeup, which was most likely taken from Kon of La'Mule, since he popularised it's use among 90's bands, but started by Kiyoharu of Kuroyume, though Kiyoharu didn't use it as much, to even the band's name, which comes from a Lareine song, "Dir en Gray".

Who cares if they're 'copying' Dir En Grey, many VK bands imitate the artists that inspired them to enter the industry, and there are bands like Golden Bomber that make parody videos off old bands yet aren't criticized like this, Kyouki and Roku are open about being Diru fans, it's a lot better than someone who claims to have invented a look

listen to the melody and the riffs and the song structure. these guys are copy pastes of dir en greys younger years, and i listen to them for that because they are pretty much dir en greys younger years but with better mixing. They are unoriginal people but at least they sound good.
