Updates: cascade has two (2) of these beauties #19; and # 120. ( I’d go for 19 ;)). Also, TFC stands for triumph factory custom. I didn’t mention that in the video.
@@motodrang4287 I agree. I think the TFC is an effort to make an exclusive Triumph that will become a collector's item and make a bunch of £ for Triumph in the process. Many of them will not be ridden. Fantastic bikes, but not appealing to me aesthetically and really just an offering to the rich speculator.
Dang, that's some cash needed for the TFC! I like spending my cash as much as the next guy but dang...granted the Bonneville Ace and Diamond editions are just slightly more expensive than their base models...but not so much. But it's nice that Triumph does special editions. Anyways, I'm just happy with that dang fancy red Speed Twin I walked away with. Hopefully you'll see me soon as I've got first servicing to do relatively soon...
Anordin1 right on! I totally agree. Cool bike but way outta my league. Although I must say I’m salivating at the new rocket 3. Look forward to catching up!
I had a Thrux standard, wanted to get a 12 R but now seriously considering TFC because of the subtle hints and carbon. Feels like no aftermarket needed. Is it truly worth the price? I know there are only 77 going to US. Appears to be a very special bike
Good question, I would say all relative. If the cost is no issue and you love the thruxton I'd say it's worth it as a long term keeper. Always nice to have factory limited production vehicles as they are the only ones that hold any value or overall sentiment. I really like the R3 and if I had the money I'd definitely get a TFC version. I have a bad habit of trading bikes though lol. Thanks for the question!
For that much carbon fiber and performance upgrades the price difference is really not THAT bad. The Thruxton R is the only 'retro' bike I've ever thought "hey I'd like to own that" and the TFC looks like a well thought out set of custom mods. If my piggy bank wasn't already pre-assigned to the '20 V4 Streetfighter it would be on my list to take a look at.
I LOVE the Cafe Fairing... or "Bubble" as you refer to it ... and would Love to add it to the "R" -- or even to my Current 'Naked' bike. I also MUCH prefer the classic long seat and overall look of the bikes. (BTW -- How much does it cost to Add the fairing to the "R Model"..?) I also Love the lower-rpm mid-range power and torque! My current bike has 140RWHP at about 7500 rpm... and will rev to over 14,000 rpm. I only reach those numbers on a Race Track. So for the street, I definitely appreciate the lower-range power, rather than screaming rpm's to make high HP. But I don't have the income range for a $21,000 motorcycle. nor even the $15,400 plus a fairing. Maybe I Won the Lottery tonight... I haven't checked my numbers yet ... but otherwise, I will have to stick with what I already have... and is all paid off. Just need tires and maintenance, and fuel!
Floyd Burdett I feel ya on the price, the fairing adds at minimum $1100 so it’s an expensive upgrade for sure. Sometimes they have cash back programs from triumph for up to like 2k so it would be possible to offset the cost on a cheaper older model ( that’s what I’d do). On the power I totally agree since my other bike is a busa I don’t really feel like I can fully enjoy it, especially on the road. The bonny motor is just so fun around town.
The one is a flagship from triumph a bike you want to ride a special bike that was the fiirst of its kind classic caffe racing bike, the other one is a bike you wish te preserve and hope to sell for a profit in the futre becouse its facotry upgrated and limitted... Those bikes are 95% the same the 5% its just details that are upgradeable, the engien of TFC is the opgrade engien after the Thruxton R, that engien became the engien of the RS witch was the next in production and the last, with some lighter internal component and new map.... I dont think anyone who buys a triumph thruxton R or RS, will keep them factory. those bikes are amazing and everyone will opgrade to their disire at the same level as TFC just with difrete taste, The TFC its just a special limitted factory upgraded. Not worth the money unless you feel 15K is a months salary or less, and compared to the Thruxton R & RS its a bit to expensive. JUST think what you can do to a thruxton R or RS with 15k that will give you 3-5K to play with and make your bike very special and rare and probelby better.
If I was forced to buy a Thruxton, I'd go for the base model (non-R). These bikes are only made for absolutly perfect roads, for short rides. The TFC version to me is just an overpriced poser bike :) But thankfully we're in a free world and not forced to buy anything :P
Speedytrip I described it at first as a CEOs bike :) too pricey for me but pretty. I put this in the Harley CVO territory ( though still cheaper than the cvo). Thanks for the comment!

What kind of hard bags were on the T120 you rode?
Great rundown. I traded my Thruxton R for the TFC. So in love with this bike. Amazing.
The Triumph Thruxton R in silver is my dream bike. Not a fan of the bullet front fairing on the TFC.
Slinging Lead interesting, the bubble surely isn’t classically cafe racer styling. I think the price mainly dissuades me from the tfc .

Do it!!! Just bought mine mwahha
@@russell1823 Nice! which version? TFC or R?
Moto Drang went with the R. Felt TFC was overpriced
I love my TFC 083 , the R is a great bike. But pulling 109.4 hp at the wheel now is just a bit more fun

Great, thanks for the input!
the TFC has Nissin in the back , not Brembo ... you can get a brembo for it with a larger rotor

Audio is on point, nice to not have a youtuber not yelling at me so I can hear them
I tuned it way down from the recommended input. I agree and this will be the standard now.
The question of whether to buy the TFC is now complicated by the newly announced RS.
David B. Yes it is and I’d probably go with the rs 👌
cool dog.
