- Welcome back! This week we're hanging out in Oceanside, California where Joey is working with some clients, so we took a day to explore the city a bit. This is what a typical day of vanlife looks like for us...no wildly epic adventures, but you can get a glimpse into a very average day of ours. you guys are great! I hope you get to chill with some other van-life folks to enjoy beach time with. I'm v v jealous of the warm weather. some kind of crafty thing could be cool! small crafty ideas that don't take up a buttload of space: knitting, crocheting, embroidery, ink sketches, watercolor, button making (if you get a hand press, but like damn. hand strength game gotta be w i l d).
Absolutely go for something hands-on. I can't remember the source - maybe "adventure-something-or-other-network"... but this woman had updated an old, small trailer from the 50's. She's a silversmith (in the Navajoes tradition, taught by Elders). She has the whole set-up (with required safety gear & the whatever else) for smithing at her dining room table.

Ohh, looks like the grocery outlet. If you guys use Dr. Bronner's, they usually have them at the cleaning section for 10 bucks vs 15 dollars at sprouts.
Awesome that you are staying busy and booked while getting to chill by the beach and enjoy great scenery weather and TACOS! I think you need to make either stickers or cards that like post cards share little tidbits and highlight the fun adventure but also direct someone to come watch this like we do. Do you have a logo or tag line yet? I am picturing a cool beach logo over an ocean scene and #kensie&joeyvanlife something that can be put on the cubical wall that others might see and ask about. Maybe even a magnet. Something that can get put on a bulletin board. You can leave them along your trail too. Not sure about the more sellable item. I think sea shell /driftwood necklaces or hanging art would be fitting with the time you are spending on the beach. Would give you gathering and artistic time with very low materials cost but very satisfying to sell your artistic pieces. People who visit the beach love this as a souvenir from their trip. We have bought this type of thing more than once when on vacation. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

So nice to see you - learning to surf sounds painful - the tacos looked amazing - glad to see your keeping busy - til week meet again #californiadreamin - oh was -8 celsius flurries and 80km winds here the past two days on the east coast of canada - was nice to see some sunshine and sunburned faces - hopefully a sign things to come here 🇨🇦🔥👍🍕🌞

Loving your videos!! My husband and I are coming over from the UK in September and driving from San Francisco down to San Diego and then back to LA (via the Gentle Barn!) to fly home. Sadly not in a van (he wouldn’t!) but any tips of great places to visit/vegan food places would be great! Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re going to inspire so many people young........and not so young!

Your neck hurts from holding your head up. Do some core exercises when you can not surf. Keep surfing. Just get out and paddle if there are no waves.
Awww! I love Oceanside! Go to the Oceanside harbor if you get a chance. It’s just nice to walk around and you can rent kayaks in the harbor if you want to! Your drone footage brought back so many lovely memories of going to Oceanside with Jonny when I graduated high school! 😬 Btw, Bull Taco was my favorite restaurant there back in the day. Idk if they have vegan options but I remember it being so delicious! Have fun!! 💕
We went to the Harbor the first day we came up here! It was beautiful😊 I’ll have to check out that restaurant👍🏼
What does parking look like for you guys while you’re there in Oceanside? I hear it’s legal to sleep in your vehicle now in San Diego.
