This made me so happy I was a homeless veteran in San Diego during the Hep A outbreak before and after I know the old man sitting on the sidewalk with the gray hair and beard he's a nice guy I'd help him out when I could I have a home now and I'm stable and I am so grateful I did want to live in San Diego I love East Mission Bay Park I cleaned it I protected it I saved a man's life there and reported a case of child neglect and much much more it was my area to protect by the Welcome Center🏚🏝🐊🏝🇺🇸🎗❤ I believe it was January 2011 I was in the Union Tribune for veterans taking yoga it has helped and I still do my yoga thank you San Diego
We could use this solution in Vancouver, Canada. The city recently removed 142 shelters and tents from one block downtown. Some of the homeless simply relocated a few blocks away. The idea of a warm, dry place with beds, etc. sounds pretty good compared to sleeping on the sidewalk.
I live near that shelter. Their efforts plus greatly increased policing and sanitation improved the quality of life here. There are authentic victims of circumstances here. Most are those who've lost self respect and gave up on themselves. Substance abusers criminals and freeloaders are the majority mostly from other states who don't want them. The financial, social, law enforcement and medical costs are enourmous and growing daily. An unarmed alpha project security officer was killed last Saturday night, I heard the gunshots. I fear the worst while hoping for the best God help us 🙏.
