New Suzuki Jimny Sierra 5 Door Will Enter Europe, This Is The Price !!!
After the 5-door Jimny was a smashing success in India, Suzuki will be adding more doors to the model in its home market of Japan. A senior source has confirmed that the Suzuki Jimny, an improved model with five doors and a longer wheelbase, will be exported to Japan at some point in the future. This particular model is manufactured only at the Gurugram facility in India.
At this time, the only Jimny available to Japanese buyers is the 3-door model in narrow-body kei-car and regular Sierra trim levels. The 5-door Jimny "will also be launched in Japan, but in some time, " according to CV Raman, Maruti Suzuki's chief technologist, who recently revealed to Autocar India, suggesting that the JDM-spec model will have more options.
In early 2023, when the new bodystyle version was unveiled, Suzuki stated their intention to sell it in worldwide markets such as Latin America, India, and Africa. The extended wheelbase of the 5-door Jimny-which adds 340 mm, or 13.4 inches, to its overall length of 3,985 mm, or 156.9 inches-makes the interior more roomy than that of the 3-door variant produced for international markets. Even though it's heavier, the Jimny with five doors in Indian specs still has the same 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 103 horsepower (77 kilowatts or 105 PS) and 134 Newton-meters (99 lb-ft) of torque. After the fourth-generation Jimny debuted in 2018, Suzuki should give the popular off-roader a makeover as soon as next year. The official teaser for the upcoming all-electric Jimny for the European market debuted in January 2023 and featured an illuminated grille and updated LED graphics. As far as I can tell, the worldwide sales of the ICE-powered Jimny might be getting a mid-lifecycle upgrade around the same time as the upcoming electric vehicle launch. Since the body panels of the 3-door and 5-door models are very similar, it may be possible to update both versions simultaneously.
If electrification is a priority in certain regions, Suzuki is likely to add a hybrid Jimny to its inventory in addition to the electric vehicle. One such country is Japan, whereby by 2030, 80% of Suzuki's domestic lineup will be hybrids and 20% will be electric vehicles. In contrast, by 2030, the carmaker hopes to have 80% electric vehicles and 20% hybrids on European roads.
