      @@dewhitneyashford287 Hiii and HNY!!! I recently made a mix with Zizyphus, a little aloe powder and a little amla powder mix it with warm water. I let it sit for a bit to allow the herbs to fully hydrate. While that was happening, I applied coconut oil to my hair first, then the mask and let it set overnight. Rinsed out, shampooed, deep conditioner and styled. Strands felt strong, moisturized and hair felt fuller. TBH, it was my first time doing it with coconut oil. I have FINE, high porosity strands, medium density and I guess 4a/b/c (crown area) hair. I hope this helps and that this herbs is useful for your strands. My hair LOVES it!

      You're most welcome, sweetie!
      I'm making a modified version of this mask for a friend of mine who suffered a heart attack and had a quadruple bypass 2 years ago then total knee replacement last year.
      The stress of all that has caused over half of the hair on the top of her head to fall out. She's black with chin-length, super soft, very fine strand, 3c (spiral-coily), natural black hair.
      Along with the 4 powders in this recipe, I'm adding Hibiscus powder to help boost the formation of new follicles.
      Because she's a heart patient, I'm not using Rosemary since, as a stimulant, it can cause an increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Instead, I'm using Grapeseed oil because it has the same DHT hormone blocking abilities as Rosemary.
      I'm using fresh Aloe Vera gel instead of juice since that's what I have on hand at the moment.
      To the Grapeseed and Jojoba oils, I'm adding Polysorbate 80. Not only is it an incredible emulsifier, it also removes the DHT hormone from the scalp. To this I'll add distilled water to replace the missing liquid since I'm using Aloe Vera gel instead of juice.
      If you'd like, I can log her journey and keep you posted. Just let me know.
      I'm going to be using your products in my hair as well. But I have a question about 2 of the products.
      I'm white with mid-back length, soft(ish), normal-dry, fine strand, 3b (spiral-curly), natural medium chestnut hair - meaning it's medium brown with red undertones.
      - Hibiscus
      Because of my natural undertones, my hair pulls red from...well...everything, like its life depended on it. This makes me a bit nervous about using this - I don't know how "stainey" it is (if at all).
      - Brahmi
      I don't want my hair any darker and I can't find any info about it's affects on brunette and lighter hair colors.
      What are your thoughts on this? Is it more about how much is added to the mask? Or is it how long it's left in? I like to leave masks on for a couple of hours minimum (covered, of course) with the first 30 - 45 minutes under heat. Is that too much for these, or any of the other products?
      Whew! I'm sorry this turned out to be an epilogue but I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to reach out and look forward to learning all I can from you!

    • @HennaSooq
      @HennaSooq  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@randijarvis1511 thank you for your reply and I love details :) For your friend let us know how it goes. For yourself that does sound good with a few tweaks that the brahmi just add a very small amount, max 10% and it shouldn't color per se but everyone's hair is different too, sometimes it can darken etc... you can leave this type of mask maximum 1-2 hours and with heat half that time.

    • @HennaSooq
      @HennaSooq  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I haven't personally gotten it into my eyes but I would think any herbs in your eyes is not fun. It's definitely important to wash it out properly with your head tilted back or in a mermaid soak. Just be careful. It's like shampoo too, that can hurt the eyes too. I'm sure nut powders can be very scratchy like amla as well.

    Is this recipe good for those with grey hair? I used an Amla mask on my moms hairs but it stained her greys brown so I wanted to try Zizyphus powder as an alternative. Should I just use the Zizyphus powder or is this recipe good for grey hairs?
