You've done an amazing job reaquiring your Beatles collection in such a short time. It already far surpasses what I own in Beatles records. Great video. Keep em' coming
Good collection congratulations on it. I usually wait too, until there's a solid copy. I'm missing a few but with patience and time they'll surely come sooner or later. Keep it up!
Mono Something New is a must. My biggest gripe about The Beatles Story is that it's one full LP's worth of material stretched over 2 Lps. Back in the late 70's I found new copies of Red and Blue albums that had the Capitol logo on the outside, but Apple labels -- uneven inventory, apparently. So you couldn't find Rock 'n Roll Music as the original double, gatefold album? Read the Record Mirror, Let it Be.
I have most of these albums I'm handicapped I have cerebral palsy and music is my life my 2 favorite bands are the Beach Boys and the Beatles I love them both equally I don't know where I would be without them
Hello mean mr. mayo.! im excited today.! i wanted your opinion, i have acquired al the new remastered vinyls and now on a search for originals, today i purchased an original rubber soul in mono uk version, revolver in mono uk version, sgt. pepper's in mono uk version, magical mystery tour us version in mono, original abbey road in stereo uk version, and an original us stereo white album, do you think this is a good start to acquiring originals.??
Emma - I have six record stores rather close to where I live. The best one happens to be only 10 minutes away and they don't usually bother with buying/selling the crappy condition records.
I believe you are right, Joe, regarding the title Her Majesty not being on the original back cover of Abbey Road. It was meant to be a surprise track I heard.
Rubber Soul in the shrink wrap! Awesome! And the Capitol album I prefer to the UK Parlophone lp because of the consistent folk rock feeling of the album. I always felt that I've Just Seen a Face was a better opener than Drive My Car. And its my fave Beatles album for nostalgia too..it was the first album i ever owned. Mom gave me a copy of RS at age 6! 42 now..and a lifelong Beatles fan! Keep up the good work collecting! It's a passion and a labor of love! Have a great day from Canada.
i believe the introducing the beatles on vee jay, the original first pressing had on the back cover, other lp's available on their label. not the track listing.
Hi Mitchell - in the case of The Beatles, they made their earlier records with Mono in mind, so that was their preferred sound. The Beatles are interesting too because there are some noticeable differences in a same song that was issued in Mono and Stereo. So collectors enjoy hearing both versions to pick up the changes. I'd say that in general. many artists before 1968 or so would have their music remixed into "fake stereo", which was not as good. But sometimes collectors prefer Stereo to Mono.
I heard your comment about cleaning your White Album with Windex. Maybe it is clean and you're satisfied now, but I wanted to ask--have you ever used the eraser method? I have an original copy of the White Album with the sticker, but have been annoyed with the black/gray mar, typical wear you always see, on the cover. Anyway, I took a Staedtler eraser to it Sat night and it went from a VG to EX in minutes. It is unbelievable. It did wonders on my Beatles' Second Album too. It's non abrasive and doesn't do any damage to the sleeves.
I've heard about the eraser method, though I've never tried it. I no longer use Windex, I use Lysol Wipes (I even made a video on this) on only the WHITE areas of a grungy cover. They really clean white areas.
Hey MeanMrMayo, I'm 19 and I've been collecting for probably 6 months now and I have a question. Why do so many record collectors prefer mono records or stereo mixes? I've heard before that they would spend a lot more time on mixing the mono version because not many people had stereo system at this time. I'm sure anyone else seeing this would like to add to this. Thanks, enjoyed the video very much.
As far as vinyl goes, I love it but I'm not a huge collector in the Beatles department unless if it's something rare in an acceptable condition and at a good price... thift shops are the way to go for me! lol
Is your Sgt Pepper a Capitol or Parlophone? I keep reading about the b&y Parlophones having better quality. But of course they are harder to come by and pricey. Just curious if you had any and could tell a difference.
Actually, NO! Believe me, I am not wealthy! I have six used record stores near me and in a couple of cases the owners allowed me to check out their overstock where they have something like two dozen copies of each album, so I can cherry pick the best copies. I am surprised how many shrink wrap copies turn up.. and in most cases they have been priced at $10 or under.
The Beatle mono. Albums are good I have the old ones and the new. Mono box set that came out. *wish abby road and let it be were done in mono they say it can't be done but I think with the technology out there it can be done
The Beatles live at the holly wood bowl la out on CD and. Vlnyl and they sound fantastic l don't have the eight days a week film that Ron Howard did but hope to. Soon
the Beatles catalogue is being re-relased November 16, 2012 on 180 gram Vinyl. check out their website: The Beatles.com cheers from Canada and cool video!
I have the exact same John Lennon shirt you were wearing. Nice collection you have there. I looked at my Abbey Road LP on Apple and there's no listing of "Her Majesty" on the back cover. On the bottom of the Apple its says "Mfg by Apple Records". I also have a 1980s reprint of Abbey Road my parents got me on the purple Capitol label and "Her Majesty" is not listed on that one either. Where can I go online to find out about my Beatles albums as far as issue dates etc..?
Joe this is Joe from Hyatt I couldn't believe I'm sitting there telling you be sure to buy quality not quantity and Lisa says I could care less lol at breakfast you know my name see ya in chi town
Joseph Yander - Good hearing from you, Joe. Yes, I am somewhat big on both quality and quantity. I won't be going to the Chicago Fest, but I hope you have a great time. Cheers!
+Die Apple Records Und -- I try to hold out for the best quality. These albums are now almost 4 years old, so I cant remember the costs. Thanks for watching.
+Die Apple Records Und No, they're not expensive at all Die. I've just got a great Beatles vinyl collection and didn't spend a lot of money on them. Many of my vinyl are 60's originals, if you seach well then you find great LPs not expensive.
David Vanderveer...they aren't. All my comments were responses to other people's comments. But for whatever reason, these older videos tend to change up the order of the comments and put all my replies together.
Great collection! Your John Lennon shirt and the Stop And Smell The Roses photo on the wall are great too! Beatles 4-ever!
You've done an amazing job reaquiring your Beatles collection in such a short time. It already far surpasses what I own in Beatles records. Great video. Keep em' coming
I liked watching this again!:)
You really grew on your collection since this video!
Hey Donald - thanks for re-watching this old video! As you said, I have acquired a lot more in the past year and a half!
So many people did the same when CDs came in and sold their vinyl, now kicking themselves.Great collection.
Yes, I am kicking myself for sure. However, now I have really built a pretty amazing collection which rivals the old one that I sold!
Wow that corvettes sticker with the price letter code is such a reminder of picking up albums and cassettes when I was a kid!
+Steelxtreme 421 - Same here.
Definitely... I was just starting to collect vinyl records when I was making this older video. Since then I've found different copies of REVOLVER.
Great Beatles finds! My subscription to your channel has now been granted!
Good collection congratulations on it. I usually wait too, until there's a solid copy. I'm missing a few but with patience and time they'll surely come sooner or later. Keep it up!
Hi ... Yes, I play them. They're in removable clear sleeves.
Theo - Thanks for watching. Good luck in building up your Beatles collection -- I hope to see a video of yours one day soon!

Much appreciated, myvinyl2. Thanks for your comments.
I have most of these albums I'm handicapped I have cerebral palsy and music is my life my 2 favorite bands are the Beach Boys and the Beatles I love them both equally I don't know where I would be without them
Thanks for giving the Fab Four their props. It almost seems as though the "VC" videos avoid Beatles records.
Sounds great to me, Quinn.
Absolutely! I used to have it once upon a time. I'm sure I'll add it to my collection at some point.
Emma - I have six record stores rather close to where I live. The best one happens to be only 10 minutes away and they don't usually bother with buying/selling the crappy condition records.
Not very much at all, actually. But I do only buy certain copies that look exceptional, and then I 'upgrade' them if I find better.
I believe you are right, Joe, regarding the title Her Majesty not being on the original back cover of Abbey Road. It was meant to be a surprise track I heard.
yes my copy of abbey road doesn't have her majesty listed on the jacket or the label.
i heard its because paul didn't want it on the album
Great finds!
Nice Beatles post. I must have 6 or 7 copies of the Red album but only one of the Blue album and not on the Apple label. It's on my radar.
Great collection!! Holy Cow, it's hard to find some of those records in such clean shape. Does your Magical Mystery Tour have the tour booklet intact?
nice collection

Oh, I definitely prefer 'I've Just Seen A Face' as the opener. I MUCH prefer the US "Rubber Soul" LP.
MeanMr Mayo me too.
My mono Beatles VI has the original shrink too.
Nice collection dude
Great collection man!
Really great collection! I dont currently have enough beatles vinyl to make a video, but I'm working on it. Meanwhile, keep up the collecting!
i believe the introducing the beatles on vee jay, the original first pressing had on the back cover, other lp's available on their label. not the track listing.

--- the ones in the shrink wrap are mostly slit at the openings. Right now there are only a couple of albums still sealed that I've not opened.
Hi -- I now have 2 copies of the White Album. I have the poster and photos, yes.
Nice Korvettes sticker on Rubber Soul!
I heard your comment about cleaning your White Album with Windex. Maybe it is clean and you're satisfied now, but I wanted to ask--have you ever used the eraser method? MeanMr Mayo that's good to know. So it gets rid of some of the yellowing? I will have to try that.
It gets rid of the dirt and gray/black smudges.
nice collection, does your copy of "the White Album" have the poster & 4 pics still with it?
thank you!
i hope so too:)
You sold your vinyl??? Omg. I just went with it to the basement... but I got all up again....😇
Thanks - the Ringo LP is autographed! Also - I have just been watching your videos -- great stuff (check your comments).
great video Joe by the way I have the Hey Jude album

Check your Beatles Story to see if Side 1 and Side 2 are on the same record. If so, it is a rarity.
As far as vinyl goes, I love it but I'm not a huge collector in the Beatles department unless if it's something rare in an acceptable condition and at a good price... thift shops are the way to go for me! lol
I have a question! Do you play them? They seem to be enclosed in that plastic. I just wanted to ask if you play them.
I have some good stores near me, one in particular which doesn't mess around with poor quality albums, and they price them reasonably.
i've got 2 copies of the white album one is on white vinyl & the other has the poster & 5x7 pics of each beatle with it
How much are those vinyls? They are in great shape
Your collection is pretty impressive! Now give them to me. I'm just kidding :) I do hope I get to have a collection like yours :)
How did you come across such good copies of there early albums? Most of the time when I come across them there always beat up.
Great video Joe by the way what albums is playing in the background
It's been several years now, but I recall it was just a collection of alternate versions of Beatles songs.
Is your Sgt Pepper a Capitol or Parlophone? I keep reading about the b&y Parlophones having better quality. But of course they are harder to come by and pricey. Just curious if you had any and could tell a difference.
The one here is Capitol. I have since gotten a Parlophone but I've not played it yet.
You must have spent a fortune on those vinyls in shrink wrap! Where do you usually shop for them?
would the Beatles still be your favourite band if they stopped in 1966?
Bob Richards - I have no way of knowing for sure, but as my favorite Beatles period is 1963 - 1966, they'd probably still be my favorite.
Are these great or what
Actually, NO! Believe me, I am not wealthy! I have six used record stores near me and in a couple of cases the owners allowed me to check out their overstock where they have something like two dozen copies of each album, so I can cherry pick the best copies. wow you have please please me without the comma cool, on your intro lp, nice collection
You better check that 'Her Majesty" there are some rare original pressings that have it in the cover, I've got one on the label.
Beatle. Albums rule
Soon
You may want "The Beatles Tell All LP" a great early interview album
What is going on in this video? Why are the walls so bare?
Wow, I am not used to seeing this
How did you get long and winding road to sound like that
I got rid of my CDs and replaced them with vinyl... weird :l
What's the old 78 Decca record behind you ?
It's 8 years ago...don't remember. 😁
I hate getting those Apple reissues.
the Beatles catalogue is being re-relased November 16, 2012 on 180 gram Vinyl.

cheers from Canada and cool video!
Are your red and blue albums colored vinyl?
johnnytremp Not in this video, but I got them later.
that bootleg butcher is cool....where you pick up...expensive ?
It was not expensive. I got it from a used record store.
+Die Apple Records Und No, they're not expensive at all Die. I've just got a great Beatles vinyl collection and didn't spend a lot of money on them. Many of my vinyl are 60's originals, if you seach well then you find great LPs not expensive.
Many of mine are original 60's too. I even have some original British albums but around here, at stores, there in very bad condition.
Joe, do you like LED ZEPPELIN?
Yes. Many of their songs, not everything.
Why are most of these comments are from you?
David Vanderveer...they aren't. All my comments were responses to other people's comments. But for whatever reason, these older videos tend to change up the order of the comments and put all my replies together.
