Thank you so much! I like that it is a little sturdier than a typical stitch!

I love this look, but am finding this so hard to follow. Do you have a video that slowly shows how to do this? Or walks thru the entire row? Thx a bunch.

Yes! As far as the diamond st, I do have a stitch tutorial that might help you: Crochet: Diamond Crochet Stitch Tutorial - In the Round

I love this pattern 😍!! Is there a name for it? I am left handed and haven't been able to find any left handed tutorials on this stitch but would love to find one!

Love the design, but just asking out of curiosity: why do you make the holder shorter than the height of the bottle? Would that make it harder to grab the handle? But I've never giving anyone wine or be gifted with wine, so what do I know 🫠.

Hello! I usually do this because there is a little bit of give between the stitches and this ends up stretching out the wine coosie slightly when lifted with weight. Otherwise, it would sag and be too long for the wine bottle. I hope this helps :)

I love this pattern took me a few days to get it but i did it👍 haha I have a question tho, I have a huge water bottle I want to make one for. Any tips for adjusting the pattern to fit the bottle?

Make the base larger. I believe that for the fourth round you would next do an increase every three stitches. For the fifth round do an increase every four stitches. For the sixth round do an increase every five stitches. I think this is how it’s done but I am not 100% sure. I hope this helps

Hello! Teresa Robles is correct! I would increase the base (see pattern notes below) one row at a time, placing the bottle on the base to see if it is roughly the correct size (you want the base to be around the size of the bottle, with some room for error).
Row 4: CH 2, place 1 DC in the same st at SL st, then place 1 DC in the following st and 2 DC in the next st. **Place 1 DC in the next 2 st, then 2 DC in the following st.** Repeat ** around the row (48 total st + CH 2 at end of row). SL st into top of 1st DC to join.
Row 5: CH 2, place 1 DC in the same st at SL st, then place 1 DC in the following 2 st and 2 DC in the next st. **Place 1 DC in the next 3 st, then 2 DC in the following st.** Repeat ** around the row (60 total st + CH 2 at end of row). SL st into top of 1st DC to join.
Let me know if this isn't large enough, and I am happy to add additional pattern rows! From here, pick up the pattern at Row 4 and keep in mind that the st count at the end of each row should match the increased st count. Happy crocheting!

hiya I'm finding it difficult to understand what stitches to skip, do you have a written pattern please

    • @CrochetWithJulie

Written patterns are always in the description. If they are too large (like this one), then in the description, I link to my blog, where I put all of my patterns. I also have a stitch tutorial for this stitch that you also might find helpful: th-cam.com/video/dKnfGLgsguA/w-d-xo.html

I am having trouble with the stitch count in the round that begins at 6:20 I’m not sure what I did wrong but the stitch count is either over 40 or around 32.

I understand! This pattern is a little complicated, especially that first row. I I suggest grabbing 9 pieces of scrap yarn or 9 stitch markers. Mark the front loops you will be working in with the different stitch markers. The first marker should be placed in the 2nd front loop from the 1st front loop of the row, then skip 3 front loops, and place 1 in the 4th loop. Repeat this around the row. Once you have marked the front loops, then work the pattern in them. Disregard what I said about finding a specific stitch to start to place the 3 SC stitches in the top row, instead try to center the 3 stitches over the front loop you just worked in. Hopefully that helps! If not, I can upload a slower tutorial video for these types of patterns. After the first row, the pattern is a lot easier to work (in my opinion).
