Hi Benny, one of the big distinguishing factors is that the Chronarch MGL is primarily focused on being a freshwater only reel while the Chronarch G model is built for fresh and in-shore (saltwater) fishing. The MGL model had a Magnumlite Spool* which is lighter material and provides better start up inertia when casting. Mechanically they are the same reel otherwise! Just depends on what you plan on fishing would be the decision maker
I intend to fish the canals on the Gold Coast (brackish water?), so the 150 HGG might be the appropriate one. Thanks for your prompt answer! Btw., do you know what to do with sticky braid line? Replace it? Thanks.
