Today, the experiment. Let’s learn how to play a Vaesen Solo TTRPG with my character from my previous video, Akello Balondemu. Thanks @FreeLeaguePublishing ! We’ll use the Fate Mill Die on this first one though Free League released a solo system for Vaesen called Thursday Child the day this video released (link below). Go figure. No worries. We’ll catch them on the next one. 😉

Just wanted to say that this was amazingly edited. I was skeptical at watching a solo playthrough but you really captured the excitement of an unveiling story. The editing was amazing and complimented the mystery. I'm only sad that I caught this due to another of your recent videos instead of my youtube helping creators and pushing thoughtful and well done long form content to my feed.

You reminded me that I had some stuff to download from DTRPG (like the official solo rules). I hope this series continues. I keep wanting to do my own solo campaigns in different games (Vaesen, Forbidden Lands, Dragonbane, and Twilight 2000 are at the top of the list), but I haven't really sat down and started anything yet. This is giving me inspiration to start.

This is really interesting. To be honest I've never played any ttrpg. I subscribed because I've watched a video of you talking about some things and I was impressed with your perspective on things and because your a fellow believer. However I could see myself getting into this game. Just don't know anybody that plays these kind of games unfortunately.

Great video, as an old person, my old group is not available anymore and my chances of making more friends in this age are pretty thin, so solo rpgs are the only way I can keep enjoying the hobby.
Well, I have plenty of ideas for different series, so God willing, there will be many more down the pike.
Also, you many find that joining the Leet Squad and signing up for our private Guilded server in the description just may be the ticket for you in finding others if you are not averse to virtual RP. 👍🏿
free league consistently has the best artwork. It is very inspiring just to flip through their products. I also think some of their systems lend towards solo play like Symbaroum. I will enjoy following this journey if it continues. Keep it up.
I was skeptical about a solo mystery playthrough but I am pleasantly surprised how well it did go. My only suggestion; I am more eager to watch videos when they are around 25-30 minutes. I hope the video gets the attention it deserves and more will follow.

If you do another solo series, it should definitely be superheroes.
It seems to be a very underrepresented genre in actual play podcasts, and definitely for solo podcasts.

I am a big fan of solo RPG podcast, but I'm especially excited about the prospect of this show!
There are many times that I will start a solo RPG show and begin enjoying it, only to have to stop because the content passes that PG-13 threshold that I prefer for most of my fantasy.
I'm hopeful this reaches a thousand views!

It's always worth checking to see if Free League has solo rules for one of their games your playing. They seem to have made solo rules a regular thing for their releases.
Well, they didn't release it until the day I posted this video and didn’t really have any press that they were going to. But I still enjoyed using the Fate Mill Die (much love to Elton over at Towerhouse Games).
For the question of the vid: I'll throw a big challenge at you, do a comedy game. Actually, it can be any game system since comedy is a state of mind.
Paranoia comes to mind. That would be interesting. 😊
