Thanks for your review. Well done! The paper feeder in the back isn't a deal breaker for me. Just the opposite. I like being able to glance over and see if I have enough paper to do my print job. I agree about the lack of duplex printing, but think for most of us, that's a function needed most often by home offices/businesses. I had duplex printing on my last printer and in the past 4 years I have never used it. So, I think that what HP is doing with the 651 is appealing to users like me who use it as a home printer for printing from my computer, scanning to PDF and sometimes making copies. What that market segmentation means to me is that I bought a printer with good print quality at a reasonable price. The ink tanks are really an upgrade from past inkjet printers!

Thanx for the review. Your video definition was only 360p not the normal 720p you normally use.
His videos are always in 1080p as is this one. You need to manually set the TH-cam quality to 1080p.

When I try to scan it says not connected to laptop? But I can print from laptop!
This printer has some good features but definitely it is a deal breaker for me for the following reasons.
1. It doesn't have an ethernet port in case the wireless connection begins to go offline as it frequently does with these cheap wireless printers.
2. It doesn't have a bottom paper feeder and the rear paper tray is too small.
3. The printing speed is outrageously slow at just 11 ppm. The standard speed is at least 15 ppm while most modern home printers now come with at least 20 ppm.
If you might be wondering which printer I am choosing instead then the answer is that I think I am going to buy an HP Smart Tank 7301 although I am still not 100% sure if I will give out the feature of refillable ink tanks for a faster printer so I am also considering a Xerox 6515/DN but I have not done any research of the Xerox yet.

Thé reason you have a back feeder, is because it can print up to 300 gsm cardstock. So the heavy paper does not have to roll if it was a bottom feeder, but just glides through without damaging the paper.

Since you are the printer expert, could I get the best Tank printer that you have tested so far? I need the following:
- Wifi (or direct NIC)
- AutoFeed Scan
- 2 sided print (if possible)
- Scan to the cloud (Google Cloud, etc)
I looked at this HP Plus 651, but seeing the comments are not great I am going to look at alternative solutions ..

How I just bought a HP Smart tank printer 658 and filled the tank with wrong color. How can I fix it? or drain the tank..
You need a syringe with a straight needle to remove the incorrect ink.
@@BestPrinters thank you for reply. I turned the printer up down to drain the ink back to the battle. I let it drain for 20-30mins. Luckily, the printer functions well with normal color quality. Lesson learned

Try another number in the 65x-series. I live in Norway, and from one shop here, it is called 658.

I have a officejet pro 9010 and 8020. Features this one misses out it the possibility to print out double pages and even i dislike the paper tray on the back. i mostly use scan to email double sides of a paper. wonder if this one can do.

This printer has one positive feature and that you are able to take printhead out for cleaning very easily. Other than that it is awful to be honest. You did not say how much is HP asking for it, but I would guess over 350 bucks, which is bad joke honestly. I think for the future please say how much 100ml of ink cost. I see the black bottle is about 250ml.

Sharing is caring: Bought HP printer and had multiple quality issues. I regret buying HP printer. Their aftersales support is just HORRIBLE! Their customer support is very slow to respond and just gives copy and pasted answers without even reading customer's reply. For those planning to buy, do yourself a favor: buy a better quality printer. HP printer is simply NOT worth your hard-earned money.
