Just forwarded this to family in the US. As I say to them. This is a great way to see London and not silly priced. Sinead, you should mention there is a speed limit. Which is not in place once pass Tower Bridge towards Greenwich. It literally flies then. First time I used the clipper. Was standing at back. Went flying but managed to save my glass of champagne haha

You picked a beautiful day for a ride along the Thames - that shot of Parliament house, the Bridge, and the Eye was beautiful with the blue sky and the clouds. I watch a Thames River mud-larker channel - these Clippers are always in the background - the boat traffic wash, uncovers all the treasures on the foreshore. The River spoils you for the amount of amazing things to see along it - even the boat too close to the bridge 😮. Oh, and Sydney Harbour has 'The Toaster' - if you were looking for it 😁 - Thanks Sinead! Great tour!
If I had to choose, the best bit for me was seeing the Tower of London from the river, and Tower Bridge, of course. This is a lovely way to see London, especially if you only have a few days and are short of time.

Brilliant stuff Sinead. Thames Clippers should hire you during the summer season to do live commentaries on the boats! Great knowledge and charm yet again. Fantastic. I remember back in the day (late 70's/early 80's) we used to party on the Thames on 10pm to 2am "booze and cruise" boats. Great fun... didn't see much of the architecture though! Totally different skyline then, with no London Eye, no city mega skyscrapers. In fact, the tallest building back then and for a long while was the GPO/Post Office Tower (later BT tower). I remember going up there as a 10 year old in 1969. There was a revolving restaurant near the top... magic! As you will know, it was closed to the public a couple of years later. Keep the videos coming, Sinead. They are getting me through the cold winter months here in Ireland!

I lived in southeast London when I was young then I moved to Kent ( Bexleyheath ) till I got married in 1970 (now divorced ).I worked in central London for many years, but never visited most of the places on this video. I now live in Essex about 70 miles from central London and I am 80 now so mostly stay in Essex, best regards to you and your crew who make the excellent videos.

Lovely trip. So at 22:15 more or less centre of screen I saw one of the Royal Navy’s P2000 vessels moored up HMS Biter I believe, one of their fast training vessels.

But thanks for the suggestions.😍 I travel around The USA quite a bit by driving but never had the desire for NYC..and N.O. only for Mardi Gras on my way to/from The Grand Canyon. Hopefully next years trip. I want to drive up 75 to St.Ste. Marie and go through Minnesota, N. Dakota..Montana, down to Yellowstone..and on to Las Vegas to visit a friend. Head back south through New Mexico, Texas and hopefully hit N.O. for Mardi Gras 2023. I can't drive to the U.K..😒

first trip to london, i was alone and took a water taxi from tower to big ben. it was mar/apr and not a lot of tourists. one of the crew said "this isn't a tour but i'll happily point out buildings of import as we go. i can only speak 4 languages; english, scottish, irish and are there any americans here?" i assumed a joke was coming and raised my hand. then mush slower he says "i'll speak slowly."

Hey Sinead, greetings from Melbourne, Australia. I hope we’ll be able to come over to London at some point and personally attend one of your tours. In the meantime, I was hoping you could do a music video/pop culture tour and show us subscribers where some of music’s iconic pop stars and rock bands have filmed their music videos like St Pancras Grand Hotel where the Spice Girls filmed their Wannabe music video for example? Really fun tour. What is an Oyster Card? The Thames Clipper is fast---do you know how fast it goes? How is it powered--it is so quiet. When you have shown the OXO building, I thought (mistakenly) it had something to do with the American company--OXO---which makes quality kitchen utensils and housewares. But you explained it, and thank you. It is an interesting story. What a beautiful day you had. Sinead---I am hoping you will do a TOUR OF THE LONDON PUBS. You could hit about ten of them and sample their libations. The latter part of your tour might be a bit wobbly, but heck, do it for us, your fans!
An Oyster card is part of the London Transport network. It's a contactless plastic card you can load money onto to pay for your travel :) 22 Knots for the Clipper!

I will be in London this coming June. I appreciate your videos, and I learn so much about the city and how to get around. I didn’t know about the Thames Clippers until I saw this video, and it looks like a great option. Great vlog again Sinead , I’m a little surprised just how quiet it was on the river . Of course now days nearly all the shipping is done by road . Is it true that the American who brought London bridge , actually thought he was buying tower bridge. It wasn’t until they shipped London bridge to Arizona that he realizes he screwed up . That is definitely the legend that gets told! Robert McCulloch, the oil magnate who bought it, and Ivan Luckin, the City of London councilman who oversaw the sale both deny the story. But, then again, if it were true, you wouldn't necessarily admit to it, would you?! ;)

Our last visit to London was in 2018, we had a trip booked to London in May 2020 but had to cancel do to Covid restrictions. We live in California and had been watching for the next opportunity to come back to England. Is London open to American tourists now ??? It is so hard to get accurate info from the TV or news stations. Thank you for the great videos !!!!

I am confused which routes covers the most attractions and bridges. Which bound route we should take from London Eye Pier to cover covers the most attractions and bridges. Seems like London Eye Pier is in the middle 1. Board from London Eye Pier 2. Go to Greenwich Pier 3. Take back from Greenwich Pier to St. George Wharf (Vauxhall),
How much does it cost for one person adult non British citizen and is it open in February ?and do they accept cash payments ?and also the payment must be online ?
They are open 7 days a week! No cash, but you can just use your contactless credit or debit card when you board - or book online if you prefer. Currently a single journey is between £9.80 - £16.60 (depending on how far you go) one way if you use your contactless/oyster. If you have a travel card it is cheaper :)
Could you make your microphone louder it’s very hard to hear. I have to put the volume on the loudest and even then it’s difficult to make out what you’re saying sometimes. We can always adjust it here. Thank you.🌈🇨🇦

Lovely trip. So at 22:15 more or less centre of screen I saw one of the Royal Navy’s P2000 vessels moored up HMS Biter I believe, one of their fast training vessels.

I travel around The USA quite a bit by driving but never had the desire for NYC..and N.O. only for Mardi Gras on my way to/from The Grand Canyon.
Hopefully next years trip.
I want to drive up 75 to St.Ste. Marie and go through Minnesota, N. Dakota..Montana, down to Yellowstone..and on to Las Vegas to visit a friend.
Head back south through New Mexico, Texas and hopefully hit N.O. for Mardi Gras 2023.

first trip to london, i was alone and took a water taxi from tower to big ben. it was mar/apr and not a lot of tourists. one of the crew said "this isn't a tour but i'll happily point out buildings of import as we go. i can only speak 4 languages; english, scottish, irish and are there any americans here?" i assumed a joke was coming and raised my hand. then mush slower he says "i'll speak slowly."
We wish we had a house there, too! What is stopping us? ;)

Really fun tour. What is an Oyster Card? The Thames Clipper is fast---do you know how fast it goes? How is it powered--it is so quiet. When you have shown the OXO building, I thought (mistakenly) it had something to do with the American company--OXO---which makes quality kitchen utensils and housewares. But you explained it, and thank you. It is an interesting story. What a beautiful day you had. Sinead---I am hoping you will do a TOUR OF THE LONDON PUBS. You could hit about ten of them and sample their libations. The latter part of your tour might be a bit wobbly, but heck, do it for us, your fans!
An Oyster card is part of the London Transport network. It's a contactless plastic card you can load money onto to pay for your travel :)

I will be in London this coming June. I appreciate your videos, and I learn so much about the city and how to get around. Great vlog again Sinead , I’m a little surprised just how quiet it was on the river . Of course now days nearly all the shipping is done by road . Is it true that the American who brought London bridge , actually thought he was buying tower bridge. It wasn’t until they shipped London bridge to Arizona that he realizes he screwed up . Many thanks take care .
That is definitely the legend that gets told! Robert McCulloch, the oil magnate who bought it, and Ivan Luckin, the City of London councilman who oversaw the sale both deny the story. But, then again, if it were true, you wouldn't necessarily admit to it, would you?! ;)

Another great video Sinead !!!! My husband and I LOVE London !!!!! We can't wait to come back and visit. Our last visit to London was in 2018, we had a trip booked to London in May 2020 but had to cancel do to Covid restrictions. We live in California and had been watching for the next opportunity to come back to England. Is London open to American tourists now ??? It is so hard to get accurate info from the TV or news stations.

I am confused which routes covers the most attractions and bridges. Which bound route we should take from London Eye Pier to cover covers the most attractions and bridges. Seems like London Eye Pier is in the middle
1. Board from London Eye Pier
2. Go to Greenwich Pier
3. Take back from Greenwich Pier to St. George Wharf (Vauxhall),
Depends where you want to go! Westminster Pier to Greenwich - or the opposite - is our usual recommendation.

How much does it cost for one person adult non British citizen and is it open in February ?and do they accept cash payments ?and also the payment must be online ?
They are open 7 days a week! No cash, but you can just use your contactless credit or debit card when you board - or book online if you prefer. Currently a single journey is between £9.80 - £16.60 (depending on how far you go) one way if you use your contactless/oyster. If you have a travel card it is cheaper :)
