Years ago I had a few bottles of Belugaria buuuut didn’t know it was supposed to be textured (got it as a gift). It is still one of my biggest regrets that I literally TRASHED those because I thought my bottles had “gone bad”. This was before I knew anything about polish and its longevity.😢😢

Soo happy Barry M is getting some love (even tho this collection isn't my personal vibe 😅). I never see nail lovers talk about them and I feel like people are missing out! They're a pretty good price (here in the UK) and they have such an amazing shade range. I feel like most drugstore brands just do like a black, a red, and 6 shades of pink and it's so boring. Barry M does such amazing collections and actually puts some effort into their colours. Their molten metal and crystal rock collections have some great colours, I've even got a Mooncat dupe from Barry M. Highly highly recommend checking them out for anyone who's not purchased them before.
Oh my goodness I remember OPI jinx. I haven’t used that in a really long time and I really have to pull it out because that used to be one of my favorite go to quick and easy manicures for the summer and fall season. It is glorious. Thank you for the reminder. Also, I love that stormy just sits in the background like a little statue. I swear if he doesn’t move once in a while, I would just be like is that a statue of a cat
I love that you also include new to you this year polish. I also get a lot of older ones and got Jinx this year. Turns out it's a near dupe for Zoya Destiny that I already had. But it's gorgeous enough to keep, plus I think the formula is better and more opaque.
One of my favourites that I purchased this year was Cloud Gazing from Night Owl Lacquer. I like that it totally fits a summer collection but it feels right to wear during the winter too. Winter feels like 2/3 of the year where I live, so thats a must :P
My fave this year was hands down S&S!!! I couldn’t hand my money over fast enough 😂 I also was a repeat customer with PFD, Glam, kbshimmer, NOL & Noodles. This year was all about indie & mainstream didn’t even interest me - I do have ColorPass though. I also bought quite a few plates & stamping polishes from CJS & SheModern

I'm only 2mins in but got very excited to hear you mention Barry M! They were all I wore when I first got into polish (when living in the UK) - they really are a fantastic brand & I wish they were more accessible over here They always were so innovative & not afraid to take risks (Like the cotton candy finish - I've never seen anything like that 😂) If you ever get to try their 'Gelly' line - Greenberry is my all time fave 😊
Crackle polish for the win!! 🙌🏻 Maybe 2014 will be the year of the resurrection of crackle polish. We can hope. I’m wearing zoyas leopard spots as we speak, but I’m longing for a good set of neon crackles, or any other color, really! Polished and Pop launched some over the summer, but I’m not in love with the formula. I own a few, but they’re not giving me quite the crackle goodness I crave. They’re a bit on the thick side and don’t really separate/crack like leopard spots does. I may have to add some thinner or something to see if I can improve the performance. Awesome video, thanks for the recap!

Like fighttheevilrobots3417, this was my year to discover nail polish, NailTube, and the whole indie polish movement and holy cow I went all in. Favorites for me are the shimmers with scattered holos; I don't like *too* much texture, for example crackle, or chunky glitter, or the crellies with what looks like candy sprinkles or party confetti in them. Otherwise I've been having a great time trying everything out. Thank you to Nicole for spotlighting so many different polishes, colors, textures, brands, and yes, even the pearlescents lol. Your channel is so fun, and it wouldn't be a Nicole Loves video without Stormy knocking stuff off the desk. 💜

8:49 I have Vesper from that same collection and I really like it but I never reach for it. I feel like I can’t too coat it because I lose the effect but without top coat it chips really fast.
Do you have any really thin top coats? I used to use the OPI top coat on my Zoya Pixidust polishes and found that it sealed the polish in to help with chipping but wasn't thick enough to actually remove any of the textured bits.
those crazy textured ones at the beginning are a hard no for me 🤢🤮They look like some paper my dog chewed up... Think my favourite polish released that I got was HT's Never Tide Down from their vacation collection, needed that shade in my life!

Bulgaria 🇧🇬 was snatched as part of the Soviet Union’s Eastern Bloc after WW II. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgaria It’s been a crossroads for cultures to occupy for thousands of years. The name makes me wonder, though, if they meant for it to be Beluga as in Beluga caviar (comes from a sturgeon, not the whale).
Well,@@ashleyj0, I think it is now that you mention it. I have no idea how that is pronounced as I can't find it in a Google search other than as this nail polish. So, I have no idea how it was intended to be pronounced. Strange.
Yeah it's def named after the caviar, I'd say. The "aria" at the end could be like a suffex idk.. not too sure. But i have this polish, i'd bet it's all dried up now. It was def reminding me of the stuff they patch pot holes with. I tried several times to wear it. Got snagged on my clothes & hair. Also developed a white cast after 12+ hrs of wear. I think the textured bits were white that just got covered by the black base of the polish. It was a massive fail for me.
