marcia saying "if she wants to throw him a big surprise party, then who am i to spoil it" is so great - she threw him a surprise birthday party in season one and logan HATED IT, and marcia knows that. she knows he hates surprises, so she's just sitting back and letting rhea get on his shitlist.

The best part about the L to the OG performance is Jeremy Strong never rehearsed that in front of the rest of the cast, so everyone is watching this for the first time and we’re getting genuine reactions on their faces.
I definitely felt like Kendall sent Jennifer away because he felt like Logan didn't like her. And I think Logan disapproving of him seeing Naomi played a role in him seeing Jennifer in the first place. While he's definitely showing a little more agency and, I don't know, signs of life? compared to earlier in this season, I feel like he's still fully in a mindset where it all revolves around Logan (I mean he literally rapped that he "stans dad" lmao)

Rest assured..."L to the OG" will be sung by you in a future shower. Maybe not tonight, but at some point, it will come out. And you will remember this comment.
Just a side note, that performance was not known by anyone beforehand. All of the reactions were real. Lol

Greg could absolutely find something else if he quit Waystar. He is Logan Roys nephew, and has some kind of high level job at ATN. Second part is bullshit because he is still Toms glorified assistant, but theres no way thats his official job title when he has his own office and great pay.
And again: He IS Logans nephew. Any small-ish company would hire him, he only has to mention how he was at his uncles birthday party or something like that and the execs are salivating at the thought of getting into a room with Logan Roy.

I think the talk with Logan and Shiv was genuine and one of the few moments where it's like that. At the end of the day, she's his daughter and Rhea is an outsider still. Greg turning down that money is crazy. I'd quit on the spot and if he learned anything he should have wrangled some sort of deal. Like maybe a chunkier allowance to hold him over.
I guess I was just wary of Ewing going back on that promise. Like, he could technically write him out of the will as easily as Logan takes back his CEO promises all the time

I'm so glad you had the same reaction I did to Logan's "The future is real, the past is made-up" line. I feel like it's such a good window into who Logan is and why he makes the choices he does. The closest I've come to decoding what he meant is probably that the future is actionable. People can make their own revisioned stories about what did or didn't happen in the past, but the future is always actual. And it's tangible - it can be shaped by people with the means and desire. Logan even mentions on the drive to his childhood home, "You look at the old pictures and they all want you to think its all so fucking simple... I don't know what it was... it wasn't what they say, you know?"
Another relevant Logan quote: "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everything changes...You make your own reality. And once you've done it, apparently, everyone's of the opinion it was all so fucking obvious."
Ooooo, yeah I like your take a lot. When put in that context, it does make a lot more sense. And, funny enough, he's not entirely wrong if that is his thinking...
Ewan is a hypocrite, and probably worst of them all, since he is so high on his moral ground. Dear grandpa Ewan, you're on the board of the company, you live off your brother's company, your family company, so you could stay on your moral high ground and criticize it without doing any job. How about instead of asking Greg to make a choice, you make a choice and come off the board, sell your shares, be done with it. Geeze, Ewan pisses me off.
And yeah, the greatest cringe of all time, the greatest, L to the OG xD

And ouch! You chuckled at Connor's backstory and then wondered when it'd come up in the show.
Rewatch the "fight" between siblings, Roman says what happened to Connor's mother. She was sent to "booby hatch" (read asylum) and he has trauma because of it.
Pretty much no one catches onto that in first viewing.
And (I hope this isn't a rumor) Jeremy Strong (Ken's actor) wasn't supposed to perform the rap. He did wonderfully and all reactions are genuine. Some almost broke character because of it.
Admittedly, I did forget the "booby hatch" slang in the moment, so the information didn't quite hit the way it should've. The fact that the performance was a complete surprise to the cast is amazing too lol
LMAO I thought this was a sequel to crocodile Dundee 😂
