I have seen and lived through many hailstones during my life in Tx! I remember baseball size hail that fell from the skies while I was working at a small country bank close to home. That hail took out all of the south side windows, dented the siding on our home and destroyed property and gardens as well as roofs and cars! My Daddy and our collie Sam rode it out under the family car in the shed! Mom and brother were in the house and she cut her arm badly during this on a busted window. When I got home from work my Daddy had ladder, hammer, nails, and plywood ready to go on the broken windows. Mama's arm was wrapped up and we thanked God for coming out alive with the replaceable stuff that could be fixed! At work when bad storms occurred we all pulled our vehicles under a roof attached to the bank building! Hailstones of softball and baseball size can kill you and cause considerable damage! Been there and done that and it's not fun! Country girl in Tx
That's crazy! Where in Texas did you lived! The worst hail storm in Dallas that I experienced had golf size hail, but it was enough to give my car a nice custom job!
@@samkeepintherockalive This happed during the 70's and my family and I live out in the cou try a mile and a half from Leroy, Texas. Yes this happened and I have pictures of my Daddy with hammer in hand boarding up the windows. Was quite an amazing experience to say the least! I never want to experience hail like that ever again! Blessings! Gloria
That unfortunate tree lost nearly every one of its leaves...fortunately, the thorough soaking of rain undoubtedly helped it regrow them fairly quickly.
I remember that day, I was on Doniphan and then boom it started raining hell and five minutes later there was snow plows trying to move the hail and there is 2-3 feet deep water
One time i was in Canada, and I seen these clouds coming. Then it started to hail the l was so big that it broke my car windows. My hotel windows were broke too. That was the worst of me.
I used to live in Chaparral and El Paso and the drainage system in El Paso ducks. At times a Pearson could kayak down several streats in El Paso. Dyer street being one of them.
For your car, either buy hail covers which you can buy online, or cover your car with blankets, quilts, rugs, and even floor mats from the house and car. Heavy canvas boat covers, paint drop cloths, tarps of any kind. Layer them on the windshields especially, and weigh them down with small bricks or stones so they don't blow off. Or tie them on with rope if you know a storm is coming that may have hail in it. I get the feeling we haven't seen the last of rough weather.
I live in Dallas and hail is rather common March - May, but hail in July? We do get summer T-Storms, but not like this, and is usually just heavy rain.
I remember this storm! I was staying with my tia on the west side and the hail was so thick it looked like snow. Later that month I'm pretty sure there was flooding at night, right? My car almost got swept away as I drove home on Dyer lol
i wasnt in El Paso when this happened but knowing EP it was probably scorching hot that day then massive hail, rain and followed by a flood then followed by scorching humid heat lol
That is intense. Thank goodness for garages to keep the cars safe. But there are people who have $500.00 worth of junk in their garage, and their $40,000.00 car sits out in the driveway. I never could figure that out.
@@jacksonhwyoming1264 You mean that you would rather protect your old hammoc and rusty grill in the garage and leave your new car sit out to get pounded by hail?
@@march149 I do not have a hammock and my grill is not Rusty is a stainless steel it's about 7 ft long by 30 in wide by far 4 ft tall how about that it works with charcoal Natural Gas Propane and Electric and my car is not new it's got 3000 miles on it already my grill is more important to me than my car or my truck
Just like that the rain snow and the strong wind in my village but just a little and short the time only one hour. Some houses roof is flying the river flood over the slope and land slide stone flood never happened another placed yes stone flood have. Stone flood sound like drumers hit drums very loud the sound.
well if you need ice for your wine & drinks you can just go out side in the hail storm & pick up some ice balls & there you have it!!.....you've got ice!!
No wonder you dont have any vital for life water to drink. You clearly put it on your yard. That grass in the middle of July is too green my grass in Dallas is less green or is it fake?
Yes.. my car remembers very well!
Wow! It looks like winter snow on the ground. The only time I saw El Paso, it was summer, very hot and dry, back in the early 50's as a little girl!
2005 you mean

Which is why I don’t care if it hails for me in a few days, as long as we get rain
I CAN IMAGINE THAT HAILSTORM DESTROYING THE CIELO VISTA MALL OMG😮
Wow beautiful landscaping, I hope your yard was OK. Thanks for sharing. That was one heck of a storm.
I remember that day, I was on Doniphan and then boom it started raining hell and five minutes later there was snow plows trying to move the hail and there is 2-3 feet deep water
Wow, horrendous blizzard in to the summer, or so!
That poor little tree almost lost all it's leaves!
Intense hailstorms will make the ground look very different indeed as hailstones turn the ground white just like snowflakes do in the Winter
you kow what they say, everything is bigger in Texas. xD
What you said in your comment is extremely true as this video clearly shows
All my exes live in TX and shut the fuck up. 1996 and STOP sign
How yes no, he he
One time i was in Canada, and I seen these clouds coming. Then it started to hail the l was so big that it broke my car windows. My hotel windows were broke too.
That was the worst of me.
Short but intense. that rainfall rate was crazy.
Perfect video. No talking, good show of what it was hitting, picked up some stones for size reference. A+
Caught some good snow vids this year but never hail. I made a mistake cus I got stuck in a hail storm once but didn’t film it in the truck
I used to live in Chaparral and El Paso and the drainage system in El Paso ducks. At times a Pearson could kayak down several streats in El Paso. Dyer street being one of them.
Leave ducks out of this
Thats some slightly uncomfortable weather.....
Let it snow, let it snow they said. It'll be alright they said.
Awesome video it's looks like snow on the ground with all the hail coming down covering the ground and sidewalk

Hello! This video is amazing! May I use this video in the non-commercial video of our church?

ah, monsoon season
the most wonderful time of the year
Imagine how unfortunate it would be if u were walking your dog
Only a crazy person would be out walking in that - with or without a dog.
its just turning the tree into shredded cheese
Awesome video ! Thanks for sharing.
Here is a challenge,
somebody with the tank or an armored vehicle
versus
a
Hail Storm
Anybody take the challenge?!?!?!?!?!?!
I think the tank would win!

Despite ABQ having a similar climate, I have never seen something like this
Thats the most hail I've ever seen

This doesn't happen very often does it?
Maybe once a year. Maybe
About once a Winter, 2 or 3 times if we have a super cell forming or a particularly bad Monsoon/ hurricane year out far in the coast.
Nice looking Neighborhood. What did it look like After the Storm?
This looks like a storm we would get here in Southern California during El Nino. Most likely in February.
Wow looks like snow
It's not but you make them to balls
Wow! It just stripped the big tree in the front of the vast majority of its leaves.
That hail storm damaged my mom's house so bad
That wind wow it's the same one for a while now
can you imagine being caught out in that weather lol
What area is this in, streets
I really enjoyed this video. Hope all that rain water stayed out of your home.
I always feel sorry for birds and other animals that can't find shelter. Well, you won't need your irrigation for a while!
