    ►The Rundown of the Challenge:
For those of you a bit more inquisitive on the specifics of this challenge, this if for you. The Outer Worlds is typically a challenging game to complete, even WITH all the big weapons you can acquire and upgrade. I wanted to specifically use the games starter pistol, the very first weapon you get from the Spacer's Choice agent during the tutorial to beat the entirety of the game. When I say entirety, I mean EVERYTHING, every side quest, companion story, etc. This run completed everything except for Felix's story, because I genuinely couldn't get him to stop dying instantly.
I beat The Outer Worlds with the Tutorial Pistol on Supernova difficulty as well, which means that there were many more elements working against me. First off, hunger and thirst are now a mechanic that will heavily impact your character's stats if not maintained, sleep can become your worst nightmare if your not constantly rested (which also make you hungry and thirsty each time you sleep), and enemies are just altogether way more difficult. They hit far harder, have way more health, and play way smarter, using cover far more effectively to their advantage. On top of this, you can ONLY save if you either sleep OR enter/exit an instanced area, so I was being reset sometimes up to 30 minutes of questing that I'd have to repeat if I died.
The Outer Worlds, like Fallout, is an RPG with heavy stat balancing, so like Fallout 4 or Fallout New Vegas, you're always pouring points into your stats to try and stay alive even just slightly more. My companions would help keep enemies immobilized for me, but other than that I was dealing typically around 95% of damage to everything, minus some final blows I'd let my companions hit, just so that I'd get the bonus Experience from THEIR kills.
Besides that, I didn't touch a single other weapon in the game, and probably spent around 80,000-100,000 bits upgrading the pistol so it could DECENTLY put up a fight against some of the higher tier enemies. Although, the final battle was rough because my pistol was outleveled by about 14 or so levels, so it could take upwards of 3 or 4 clips just to kill a single bad guy. It was rough.
The whole run took me about 20 hours to complete (I streamed the ending of it on Twitch), and about 4 hours was me resetting and having to repeat quests when I died.
