Oh really, your work is absolutely appealing! I love how the shabby chic art pieces come out! You definitely have a knack for it! Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Anne..... Thank You so much for breaking this down into manageable pieces.... It makes absolute sense to "Frost" the cover last.. I absolutely love all your Frostings......❄️❄️❄️
You are my new favorite person to watch for junk journals! We have the same taste and I love your ideas! I just found you today and I just want to watch what you create all day!! Thank you for sharing your ideas with us!
exactly! Even if I have done tons of junk journals, having and following a formula works all the time because we are so often overwhelmed or mentally tired! 🌷
Hi Anne, I just want to say Thank You for this video... using your techniques I made two beautiful journals...they are my most favorites of all that I've made...I gave one to a friend who also makes junk journals and she can't get over how beautiful it is...Thank you for all the videos you do..I enjoy watching them.😍😍😍
Wonderful! this makes my day :) I am so happy! :) I know the struggles we can have as creators and I love to find “recipes” so we don’t have to overthink the process and just have fun! I want to create more videos like that now, to help with the creation process :) thanks so much for your feedback! that gives me energy yo keep creating content like that :)
Wow wow wow so verträumt, verspielt und romantisch, mit soviel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet dieses Cover. Vielen Dank für dieses inspirierende Video. L.g.Elke
Hello Anne, your creations are absolutely beautiful. I appreciate your willingness to show us your process as well as your "thought" process. Your use of certain items and why to add fullness and dimension. This helps us so much. Who knew using buttons on the reverse would give such a vintage look? Just love everything you create. Thanks again for sharing and stay well.
Thank you so much! :) I appreciate you take the time to write this lovely feedback and this gives me the motivation to keep going on with providing instructions and the process of my creations :)
Absolutely gorgeous 😍 ❤ I love all about you do but I'm very interested where and how you finding the picture of the ladies? Please 🙏 let me know. I thought is all can find on Amazon but really I don't know what to look for . 😂 greetings from Florida 😊❤
Oh Anne these are so gorgeous. I’ve been slow stitching as it’s easy to travel with when I go to my home away from home. I can’t wait to try these. You are fabulous.. her laces are so pretty oh I embossed cheesecloth with ink on my embossing folder !! So so pretty .. give it a try . Missing you dear friend.. Lindsey is doing well.. hope you continue to create more and more . You inspire me always in every way 🎀🎀
Anne, your creativity and talent bring life to my imagination, and I look forward to seeing what I can create from your absolutely amazing pieces of art. Thank you so very much for sharing with us.
I do have that gadget but somehow, I hate it more than doing it by fingers and I tear the paper to often with it, a tearing that I don’t like or want. Mine is not the Tim Holtz, it is the Stampin’Up! one but they look identical :)
There is inspiration galore! What a pleasure it was to listen and watch how you made this stunning cover! Thank you for taking the time to go step by step, layer by layer. I can use this simplified process and feel confident.
Thank you so much for all the new tutorials! Your work is just so beautiful. Thank you for graciously sharing your talent and providing such amazing inspiration. I look forward to what you share next!!
All of these covers are so-o-o beautifully decorated and embellished!! I'm curious...how do Crafty Me prices for lace yardage compare to a fabric store (JoAnn's)? This is a terrific process video! Tutorials tell and show what to do. Process videos tell and show how and why creative decisions were made. When I started this longer video, I had intended to stop shortly in because of a TV show I wanted to watch. This video was so good that I've stayed until the end...watching your audition process has been so interesting! I'm a well seasoned paper artist/crafter but I have learned a bundle by watching your skilled hands work and listening to your informative narrative! Love how this last cover turned out. I like the cover size resulting from folding the envelope in half. Beautiful work!! Thank you for, both, inspiring me and teaching me...much appreciated!
Hi Martie, Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and let me know your appreciation about my video :) This makes my day! :) I live in Canada, the French part, in Québec and we do not have the fabric store JoAnn's so, that would be really hard for me to say about the price or even the style of the laces. For me, shipping to Canada is quite expensive so, Esme (from Crafty Me Shop!) holds my orders for a couple of weeks to combine shipping and then, it gives me a reasonable price and where I live, we don't have beautiful laces like that and the ones I found were 2-3 times the price per yard. You can join her Facebook group called Crafty Me Shop! and see the price with the picture of the lace or appliqué, that might give you a good idea. :)
These are just absolutely gorgeous I have not felt very successful and putting lace on my covers but I have tried this method for a tall skinny turn off that I'm working on and I really like it I will try to put it on Instagram and tag you
Merci Anne! J'ai trouvé votre vidéo il y a 1 mois et je l"avais perdu! Je suis heureuse de vous retrouver! I am actually making my first real journal and wanted to put laces and trims. The journal is made with a Amazon blue and white bag. I love the sound of it. Covered it with fabric. It will be grungy. I plan to put black laces with a corrugated piece of cardboard. The lady is red on a black staircase. I needed a 101 lesson on how to putting the laces. I will follow you to learn from you! Merci et bonjour de Laval au Québec!
Oh my goodness I'm loving your beautiful creative journals! Where do you find all the beautiful lace and material? Paper is easy, the rest I need help! Thank you kindly!
Thank you so much! I found bits by bits beautiful laces and doilies in thrift store and from my family and friends. The secret is to talk with anyone around you :) even my new neighbour got me something :) I also buy a lot and receive a lot as a design team member … laces from Crafty Me shop! Every weekend, she put pictures of laces on her facebook group and you can comment if you want some, then she invoices you and ship your order.
@@odulcina Thank you for answering back ! I have the most beautiful handmade doilies that are very old but in excellent condition! Some are nice and big! I can't imagine ripping them up unless I knew what I'm doing! I'm in love with how you use lace, haven't seen doilies yet. I love lace! Always have! It makes everything so pretty! I'm grateful I found you! Have a blessed day!
@@Thankful2God4vr It is true that I rarely work with doilies in my videos … I will do more as I tend to stash them instead of using them. My favorite way to use them so far has been to decorate an envelope.
Awesome! Thank you! Esme is my go to place for the best laces, they are more expensive for me because of shipping and $$ exchange (living in Canada) but still … they value it! :)
This was such a learning tutorial for me! Thanks for taking time to show your thought process. Your laces are just gorgeous. Wish I could find at thrift stores but don't get too lucky with that. Do you have a source you like? Beautiful work 😍
my source are really thrift stores but with the help of my family, friends, neighbour etc … over time, by talking to everyone, I found out that some of my friends or neighbour or ladies at church were thrift store shopping lovers and I showed them or explained what I am looking for and they bring me what they find! So, I barely go to thrift store but I have eyes looking for me … :) I never expected that 2 years ago but with time, it came to that naturally and I have built a good stash because of them! Your best source is to talk and ask them to look and buy for you :)
they are either sari silk or chiffon silk and I buy them from the Etsy store called: unfetteredCo If you are looking for smaller qty, look at the Etsy store: ClaireScrap4ever as she has bundles of just a yard per color.
