Doubt it would do much good. Most publishers/studios have their own DEI departments now. Only way is to speak with our wallets and not give our money to people that hate us. They would be in the unemployment line very quick if we did. Gamers can moan about it all they want on social media. It will just fall on deaf ears if they are making millions if not billions in profit.

I said this on another video, but I’ll say it here too. To give some other context: Torii gates are an important symbol to Shintoism, let alone Japan. It’s comparable to the cross for Christianity & the Star of David for Judaism. The gates represent gates for kami/gods to step through into our world. A partial or destroyed torii gate could be seen as desecrating a religious symbol like the aforementioned ones.

Saw this on another video, in AC Shadows Yasuke's armor is covered in Nobunaga symbology. Considering Nobunaga still has living family members and they most likely used it without permission this makes it illegal according to Japanese law. Great job Ubislop, keep it up.

They made AC 2 so accurate to Renaissance Italy of how it would have looked back then that a couple was able to travel around Venice with ease solely based on the AC 2 map alone.

The only way AC Shadows could redeem itself would be a total overhaul in developement. If we can trust a certain statement Yasuke wasn't intended as MC at first but DEI got its way in.

Ghost of Tsushima honored both Akira Kurosawa's legacy as well as Japanese history and after Ghost of Yōtei's announcement it just shows us who has the interest of gamers and it ain't SBI or BGG for their narrow-minded ideology coupled with their blatant racism is going to end up being their undoing.

I don't know that pre-orders for physical media can count anymore. I was adamantly against buying digital a few years ago. The experience of a midnight release at my local game store was fucking awesome. Now I almost exclusively buy digital for games I really want. And I know most gamers these days are young kids and they do mostly digital. I know a lot of the older dudes and dudettes switched to digital as well because being an adult sucks.
Another thing I think most people just don't seem to realize about AC Shadows is 1, the name. Shadows. What do you do in the shadows? You sneak, just like they are trying to sneaky sneak all this bullshit into the game. But to me, here's what I see. A giant of a man, who's like 2-3 feet taller then everyone else, going around butchering and beheading japanese people. Okay, questionable history aside. So I think it's fair to say majority of us dropped off the batman wagon after arkham knight. Now if they want to pick up where the other developers left off and find a way to bridge the story to give a significant hand off, i am (OK) with that so we can act like those horrible games never happened. Unfortunately given the track record and state of the industry desperately trying to crawl out creativity, bankruptcy I doubt we will see anything worthwhile. And seeing what happened with cyberpunk I doubt a batman beyond game would do that masterpiece of a show, proper justice.
