Stevie is adored, not just as an artist with an otherworldly gift and skill, but one with a most kind, humble, and loving soul.

I’m going out on a limb here because I don’t know the viewing audience.
      But here’s a common thing.
We’ve either had our own addiction or we knew someone who has. And sadly we lost loved ones we lost our friends. Look on TH-cam and type in Kensington avenue. There I lost my nephew. Stevie lost a friend and suffered with his own demons. But he got clean and the words he spoke to the world has depth. It’s from his heart and soul. A bit of a mystery is why Stevie never did a studio recording of the song that included his little speech. And though he sang and spoke with other people in other cities. Well he don’t need no teleprompter to read telling him what to say. It’s all heart. The other day was the anniversary of his death. Helicopter crash. And we wept for Kobe Bryant and his daughter. Eric Clapton was supposed to get on the helicopter and instead offered his seat to Stevie Ray
Going back to the addiction side of it I lost family members to addiction. A nephew on Kensington avenue, a wife to alcohol, a pregnancy terminated because my first wife had an addiction. I damn near lost my niece to addiction but even after rehab she still was a cutter. We know people I’m sure who self harm themselves and it’s a sad thing watching your loved ones suffer because you hurt emotionally. Loss comes in various forms I pray for the world now that I’m older and wise. Not wiser because I’m still learning. I’m a people watcher. My eyes and ears always open but I rarely speak. I want to listen carefully and help others whose cries for help so often fall on deaf ears, people who choose what they hear.
Watch a Charlie Brown cartoon. Adults sound like wah wah wah. lol I’m sure you got tired of the parents nagging and cranked up the volume
Lastly is in regards of the way Stevie plays the guitar. It’s an appendage of his soul
God gave us his voice and his story because we need to hear it. We need to listen. Don’t kick someone who has fallen down. Help them. Don’t abandon them when they need you the most right now. Please 🙏

Yeah, he broke his tooth playing with his teeth during this performance, also, his roadie helped him do a guitar change due to a broken string and the changeout was almost unnoticeable! I always felt like SRV was an open medium channeling music seamlessly and effortlessly like no other guitarist has ever done. He died in 1990 at the age of 36, and what more would he have given us had he lived? RIP SRV. Some must listens: Pride and Joy, Leave My Little Girl Alone, Couldn’t Stand The Weather, Little Wing, Ain’t Gonna Give Up On Love, Blues At Sunrise (With Albert King). I enjoyed your reaction, TY.

All I could say Jonah is that when he spoke them words, you reacted instantly, so therefore either you suffered from your own addictions or you have people who suffered from addiction

Jimi Hendrix was the first one to play with his teeth! And to play behind his back. AND to cover his guitar with lighter fluid and light it on fire! :D LOL But Stevie Ray takes it to a whole new level! LOL Both of these Gods left us WAY too early. Rest in peace Jimi and Stevie.

@@JonahReactions You should probably watch the "Woodstock" video! The Woodstock music festival was in 1969. Mind blowing talent. The BEST of the BEST showed up to play for the half a million people that showed up to see all the bands. I wanted to go SO BAD!! But my dad would have had kittens if he would have found out I'd traveled all the way across the country to see a bunch of "hippies" playing hippie music! LMAO Oh well, I ended up being able to see most of those bands in concert during the 70's anyway. You should try some "Steppenwolf" (magic carpet ride or the pusher man) both songs are amazing.

He lost a tooth here playing with his teeth. If you watch when he stops you can see him looking around at the floor for it then he looks up at somebody on the side smiles and mouths "I lost a tooth" then he pauses and says" it's gone"

I’m going to highly recommend Led Zeppelin to you. I’ll suggest Since I’ve Been Loving You live at Madison Square Gardens (1973), really anything from that concert. Another of my favorite lives is Earls Court the May 25,1975 version of In My Time Of Dying, Jimmy Page kills it on the guitar. Jimmy Page mastered using a violin bow on a few songs. Live at the Royal Albert Hall (1970) he uses it on How Many More Times. He also uses it on Dazed & Confused, I’d suggest studio first, then a live sadly the best long live is available on TH-cam anymore.

@@JonahReactions I look forward to seeing your reactions. Robert Plant lead singer & harmonica * Jimmy Page lead guitar band founder producer & mixer of all their albums * John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards mandolin etc * John (Bonzo) Bonham greatest drummer ever. All 4 are musical geniuses.

I’m really upset at you too for censoring my comment. My comment only applied about addictions and how people suffer with addictions and unfortunately, either you canceled it or blocked me or whatever I don’t know I have no idea. I know I lost a child and nephew to addiction and it’s sad to say it’s sad to watch them suffer through it because you suffer through it so help people up when they’re down.
