Thanks again for this easy and clear video. I have a doubt, can I use same pattern for action done by third person to me. for eg. “my friend cut my hair short”. Is it ok to say : wo pengyou ba wo de tou fa jian duan le.
Katrina ..that was very well explained ... Question -- can ba be used at the end of a sentence ...e.g. qing zuo ba ..please sit ? ... oh also your teeth look great now the braces are removed ... look forward to your reply
It's a different ba you're asking. 把 VS. 吧. I suggest you can start learning some characters in case of the same questions like this stop you from improving your Mandarin.
At the end, in the translation you gave for the English sentence, "I have to finish my work", you used "dei" for "have to"/"must". Would "xu yao" also be OK? What about "bixu"? There are so many ways to say "must"/"have to" in Mandarin!
I have to go to Taiwan to practice Mandarin 我得去台灣聯繫中文。 In this sentence, you don't need 把 unless you want to say you would like to practice Mandarin to a certain result " Subject + 把 + object + verb + result", remember? So maybe you can say 我得去台灣吧中文練習好。 I have to go to Taiwan and practice my Chinese well. :)
