My cairn terrier passed away a year ago but I still have a habit of calling her name when I get home from school, she was a blessing to me and my family. Such obedient and friendly dogs, we don’t deserve such loving animals

When I found the Cairn Terrier breed online, the traits that made him special and amazing lined up exactly with a Cairn. Whatever he was mixed with, the Cairn Terrier genes must have been too strong. RIP Buster.
My parents had a Cairn Terrier. Unfortunately, he was a puppy mill dog. Even with all his issues, and there were MANY, he was the happiest little dog you would ever meet 🐕

My girlfriends cairn terrier chose me the first second I stepped in her house. He was like probably a few months old . It’s weird but he’s the first ever dog I ever have gotten along with and love with all my heart. I’m a cat person ride and die but this is the first dog to ever choose me as his soul owner

I have a Cain terrier his name is Barkly he has learnt over 8 tricks and is only 3 on the 23rd feb years old. I can't imagine life without him. One like to make him learn more tricks!
Given any opportunity, they are quite the little hunters. So far my little girl has got snakes, squirrels, mice a bat and brings song birds into my husband.
Cairns won't ever start a fight with another dog, but it will finish the fight, I have had Cairns in my life constantly since I was 5 yrs old, that's over 50 yrs!

my Kingsley is 29 pounds but he isn't overweight at all, he's just very large. He's also 100% cairn so I know he isn't mixed with a larger dog or anything
It would be nice if I could do the101 facts about terrier mixes..... I have a Cairn terrier/Chihuahua mix..... and he really IS the BEST LITTLE DOG I've ever had..... and great for disability dog..... when I'm sick.....as in I have a bad lung disease..... And when I'm coughing up stuff..... and having a hard time breathing.....he will put his paw l on my lap until I'm breathing normal again.....he won't leave my side..... very easy to train and wants only to make you happy.....he gets traumatized when he isn't with me.....he HAS to have his stuffed toys..... and shake them like rag dolls..... and much much more...... like I said.....he really IS the BEST LITTLE DOG I've ever had..... and a great disability dog.....

Lol I've never met 1 that didn't like children and we bred/trained many for years. Most of those we trained were bred by other as we didn't bred our dogs much so got to meet dozens over time. Maybe the 1s you're known weren't socialized with children correctly or were exposed to tons of brat kids who weren't taught right by their parents on how to behave around dogs

We inherited my wife's dad's 4-year old Cairn. He holds his own with/ stands up to our Pit/Shepherd mix and our Beagle. All three get along well.
