Will you be picking up Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition? Let me know in the comments. I purchased a digital copy of the game to make this video.
30 minutes in there is a ton of pop-in, but its exactly as I expected. beautiful, fast and fluid. AC was on PSP and 3DS and still looks great. Switch is plenty strong enough to handle this great game.
@@samsoulee Belkan witchcraft as we say in the Ace combat community lol 😆 but nah theyvdid a hell of a job with it. It looks and plays amazing on the lite as well. Only minor fps drops near the boss fights with a lot missles and drones on screen. Other than that its top notch. Sucks its 60$ and not 40$ but im a sucker for ace combat so i had to double dip.
Think about how smoothly the old Jane's Combat Simulator games ran on PC hardware with less potential twenty-five years ago. It's all about balancing processor power with rendering priority and how graphical intensity is implemented. Another fantastic example of efficient prioritization recently is Kingdom Come: Deliverance, made with the Cryengine. The game crashes every once in a while for me, but I am flabbergasted at how lighting, textural variety of the landscapes, and smoothness of rendering at a gallop is delivered in the Switch port. I think one benefit of Switch on gaming overall has been the motivation it produced to enhance programming efficiency on an otherwise runaway train of competing hardware performance products and graphical intensity as selling points over quality of gameplay.
Nice video bro... But we know that TH-cam ruins the quality, so if you post at least 1440p we can see it closer to the quality of the N. Switch game in docked mode. Tnks
At the moment I'm not planning on uploading videos with a higher resolution as I would need a new recording equipment for that. But possibly in the future I will look into it.
Game was looking great and I was gonna definitely buy it... until I saw the footage of the jet flying super low to the ground where it then showed the horrendous pop-in or lod loading in 50% of the grounds textures directly in front you. I can deal with a more subtle lod, perhaps far into the distance where it's hardly noticeable. But for large solid assets to load-in right in front of me and so suddenly... no thanx. Why couldn't games like this have held off releasing until the Switch 2 arrives?! The devs would have had a lot more power to work with, therefore letting this Nintendo version of the game look & play more like its original PS4 version.
@@TonyJenn For me, such obvious pop-in just pulls me right out of the experience too easily. And flying very low is pretty much essential in this game if you want to advance through the missions.
Last Bandai ports on switch were atrocious, particularly ni no kuni 2. Im still waiting for a review that speaks about image quality and resolution. Everybody on youtube said ni no kuni 2 looked nice whereas it was trash and unplayable. How can I trust anybody now ?
This looks worse than the PS4 version and is rendered at around 720p to 800p by the looks of things. Framerate is 30FPS, and the level of detail has been reigned in along with minor cuts to shadow map quality and a slightly simplified, shader model. Other than all that, the full game is on Switch. You can just play it remotely from more powerful systems including PC, though.

EU here so I'm grabbing a physical copy. It looks amazing.
Also the team wants to do a Starfox game. Hope this will convince Nintendo.
Yes I will
Now this is an example of an amazing optimization

They should have Cross Rumble available on Switch now Then RIGHT !?
They did a great job, I'm adding it to my wishlist!
Played it ps4. Its fun game and the objectives are forgiving for new people
This looks good, is this handheld mode?
No, it's docked mode. But it's also looking good in handheld mode.
@@HandheldPlayers Any idea what the resolution is for both? Curious to know. Thank you!
I'm not expecting the graphics will be this good 😮
HOW THE F. is that running on a Switch ?????????

Right ? I found a physical copy and ordered one today

@@samsoulee because 90% of the screen is empty space and the gameplay is pretty much identical to the Xbox 360 game
Well if I can’t get a new star fox game this will do!
will wait for it on sale

How are you playing it? it is not even on my e shop yet:(
Got it from the Japanese eShop. It's also out now in Australia and Europe.

So when is this game come out for the switch in the United States?

Are there any flight controller (Hotas) for Nintendo Switch?
Is the multiplayer active or dead on arrival? Before I buy this I want to know if the online multiplayer is active or not.
No gyro = no buy. Such a missed opportunity.
Played the game on PS4, though, and it was pretty damn good.
Yes, it's a shame that there are no Gyro controls.
Why do you need a gyro on a aircraft simulator game?
@@christbenitez8797 Same reason you "need it" in every FPS.
I am LOVING that yanks aren’t getting a retail version of this!! It’s digital only PMSL purely belter
Does this version of the game have cockpit view or no ?
Yes, there are 3D rendered cockpit views on Switch.
😮 Ni.....Nice!!😮👍
Not for 44 quid
This game has subtitle thailand language ?
I bought the Japanese version and it only has English and Japanese subtitles and voices.
They did a good job cause they didnt make more brighter because the switch is not high resolution thats why it runs smoother..
