Jelly's real name is Jason Deford. He wrote it with another writer, and this is his story of his struggles with addiction. He was charged as an adult at 16 years old, and went to an adult prison. He was in and out of prison his whole life, and while he was in jail, he found out his ex gave birth to his daughter. She is the reason he changed his entire life. ❤

Jelly Roll spent time in jail as a youth. Started as a rapper. Now doing country music. Check out Son of a Sinner. Also his duet with Craig Morgan at the Grand Ole Opry.

Hi Dr Nic, he has a real "ache", in his stirring voice. He really is putting himself out there, isn't he. It was like a storm of emotions , and then, the part I liked the most was the end. A calm lull. Thanks for the vid, although its a "pain in the bum" (think I know what you mean), I like the way you are open to music and artists you are unfamiliar with and show understanding , respect & kindness in your reactions. And also some perspective and steadiness, with regards to mental health. I agree with you totally normal thoughts and feelings are seen as a "problem" to overcome, and the pressure to do so makes many people retreat. I can't stand it when people say, pull yourself together. Its surely better, to be able to share our experiences and move forward than push it away.

There's either a live video or an audio on TH-cam of the songs on his new album. The song Nail Me is my favorite on the album, addressing the judgemental people who don't give them the credit they deserve. They bith had messed of lives, and they turned their lives around and they each became self made millionaires in their own right. The stiry is amazing. Now they give back as much as they possibly can. Jelly is performing at the Wal-Mart in Nashville, TN for a concert that you can attend for a Christmas gift donated to what is already being called the biggest holiday toy drive in Nashville history. Ive seen his wife Bunnie read someone's sad story in the comments (we all spill our guts to them. They make me feel like i matter) and she asked for her cashapp and sent $5 grand on the spot for a copay on surgery. They give out a lot and don't make any bug deal about because they're doing it fir the right reasons. Not publicity. She looks on social media for people who can't afford a big holiday meal, and she chooses 5 or 6 and sends them $$$ for the groceries. She's Instacarted people groceries before. He and his wife are REALLY good people, who had to do bad things to survive. Bunnie's last link to her past was her Only Fans account, and she shut it down months ago. She set a goal for subscriber numbers to her Dumb Blonde Podcast, and when she reached that goal, she left her past behind. They are such good people. ❤

He has a lot of good music and his newer stuff like this are more about him, his life and struggles.

Jelly and hus beautiful wife Bunnie are my favorite humans on Earth, right along with Ren. Jelly is the wyte 🗑 (self professed lol I love them!) version of Ren as far as addressing a variety of struggles in their lives. My TH-cam handle is his fan base- we are called Bad Apples 🍎 😆 He has a songbcalled Bad Apple and I'd LOVE to see you react to it. Smoking Section is about losing friends/family, "I hope that heaven has a smoking section" referencing their love of marijuana. I bawled my eyes out at both shows i was able to attend, one on his last tour, and one on his tour that just ended. Their story is amazing. The lives they were able to turn around, and now they give back as much as possible. I absolutely LOVE your channel. I almost jumped for joy when i saw his face on a video lol I was checking for any more Ren since he got his #1 spot on the charts in 11 countries! Those 2 artists have brought me so much healing.... I feel understood for the first time in my life.
