Even if your team int and get you killed, there is always more you personally could have been doing to make good of a bad situation.

The only issue I have with this is that the first mistake gets a special treatment for no good reason. Ideally you just treat all mistakes the same; anaylze them and see what could've been done better. The big part - and I appreciate that in Xaryus view - is not looking at the first mistake as the single cause and saying "got 'em, it's his fault we wiped, flame him and case closed". Take the first mistake into consideration but crucially ALSO look at what everyone else could've done to mitigate the damage done by the first mistake in the same way.

He's gotten like 6 other players killed by messing up himself because of not taking the dungeons very seriously/not paying attention.
11:58 the main reason this goes bad is because they are fighting way too close up to where the patrol goes, if they would've just pulled back and fought further back instead of fighting in the entrance then they would've had 0 chance for death.
As a first time HC player, trying Shaman as a first time Horde player... This worries me so much lol. So many totem pulls getting people killed. When I play, I only totem when I need to, I don't just drop totems all over, and they've never caused me an issue (Level 39 atm), but damn, they still worry me.

I watched a bit of Grubby's run as I knew him from his Elden Ring time which was painful at first. Their biggest error overall was their pulls in general more often than not had the group going to the mob packs instead of the packs going to them which is much safer.
@25:40 he had already sheeped the mob 2ce, it broke out both times, so a new sheep would have been only a few seconds at most running was really the correct choice, he just ran the wrong way
So much went wrong there. Like Xaryu said, the dude panicked. Even after everything that went wrong, the sad part is he had ice barrier and blink just came off cooldown. He was literally one second from safety.
As a rogue main, you have kidney, gouge, blind, vanish + cheap shot as a last resort. Mage is slowing the other mobs. There’s no way Pontus dies here if rogue just does literally any cc
both grubby and dendi (rogue) are playing the class for the first time grubbys 2nd character (after dieing at lvl 15 on his first, a lock) i think its dendis first char as well for all they are mid 40s, they are still icnredibly new players
It was miscommunication. Bean was hesitating because he wanted to heal the rogue, the rogue was pulling agro because he had vanish, bean was trying to save the rogue and the rogue was trying to save the group, neither's tactic was communicated to the other, which led to beans death. This was the clip that caused Discord to become mandatory.
5:10 maybe if he was killing the .1% hp fleeing mob instead of looting, the extra pack may not have triggered. The casting adept didnt seem to pull. LoS pulling into the previous room is so much safer.
It's slightly frustrating to see people get so complacent with just trying to aoe mow down packs, because a mage/rogue on that ZF pull needed to just cc the shadow hunters and isolate the rest and pick them off. Or poly one shadow hunter and burn the other asap, or something. I feel like grubs and other players just have no practice with triage cc'ing mobs cause every group is used to just aoe blendering groups down and they just kind of tunnel vision when shit hits the fan.
True, but that's on the whole group as well for not thinking on the fly, nobody even considered the possibility of ccing the shadow hunters. They probably could have aoe feared as well if they just pulled everything further back. There was so much mana and DPS wasted running back and forth in panic. I can totally relate, but man, they had all the tools to manage this situation, just not the time or clarity to apply them, tragic.

running from 4 mob is nsane. there is no reason to hav war dying there, other party members just had no enough exp. when war get hexed, they can just poly the boss and take down the pat down 1 by 1 easily. grubby made 3 mistakes: 1st did not downgrade blizzard,using maxrank blizzard trying to slow the lizzard cant be slowed, wasting huge amount of mana. 2nd he did not single targeted dps mobs. he can just use mana wasted on blizzard to kill at least 2 mobs, which are around 50%. he can also tank and dps the lizzard with ice barrier and healing from sham. 3rd he did not use poly, if he sheeped the boss, its just like fighting the pat w/o sheeping. a level 50 mage can solo that pat easily, its 100% doable at their level with help from 2 shams and 1 rog. grubby is one of best player ever, just hav no enough exp esp in a bad situation. xar just need to teach him more about xar's playing style, like soloing every elite quest.
they entered the fight completly oom fighting a boss+3 mobs 2 of which can hex 1 can petrify with no mana on the healer or 1 dps (mage was only not oom cos of evo) they had to run there, they couldnt fight that grubby didnt make a "mistake" trying to slow the basilisk, that would imply he knew it couldnt be slowed, its his first ever time in ZF he didnt single target cos they called a run 3 he didnt use poly cos its his first time ever playing mage, that is a mistake, but to blame him for it is just absurd hes also lvl 43 there, not 50

other party members just had no enough exp.
when war get hexed, they can just poly the boss and take down the pat down 1 by 1 easily.
grubby made 3 mistakes:
1st did not downgrade blizzard,using maxrank blizzard trying to slow the lizzard cant be slowed, wasting huge amount of mana.
2nd he did not single targeted dps mobs. he can just use mana wasted on blizzard to kill at least 2 mobs, which are around 50%. he can also tank and dps the lizzard with ice barrier and healing from sham.
3rd he did not use poly, if he sheeped the boss, its just like fighting the pat w/o sheeping.
a level 50 mage can solo that pat easily, its 100% doable at their level with help from 2 shams and 1 rog.
grubby is one of best player ever, just hav no enough exp esp in a bad situation.
xar just need to teach him more about xar's playing style, like soloing every elite quest.
they entered the fight completly oom
fighting a boss+3 mobs 2 of which can hex 1 can petrify with no mana on the healer or 1 dps (mage was only not oom cos of evo)
they had to run there, they couldnt fight that
grubby didnt make a "mistake" trying to slow the basilisk, that would imply he knew it couldnt be slowed, its his first ever time in ZF
he didnt single target cos they called a run
3 he didnt use poly cos its his first time ever playing mage, that is a mistake, but to blame him for it is just absurd
hes also lvl 43 there, not 50
