Thank you for the helpful video as I'm new with corals (and have had some previous times with marine fish). How can I tell when shopping for elegance if it's from ASTL b/c I hear that Indonesian elegance are not as hardy. Reputable store should know right?
Hey hey Corntaters, my pleasure and you will love an elegance in your tank. So I actually think that 80% of the time it will be an australian elegance, Indonesian ones are hardly in the market anymore so you should be in the clear. But a reputable store should be able to let you know! thank you so much for watching!
I have an elegance coral in my tank, and the middle part is turquoise and it has yellow tips. However, it doesn’t have stripes in the middle is that normal?
Yep! Perfectly normal, so elegance come in sooo many different patters and colours, some look totally smooth, others have stripes and sometimes you get a bit of both haha.
My elegance killed my Bengal cardinalfish. He kept trying to host it and it caused his fins to be completely gone. The fish eventually died. All my other fish are fine with no fin disease. I tried to catch the Bengal to put him in quarantine but was unable to capture him till it was too late. My elegance is now in quarantine. to keep my female Bengal safe.
Oh sorry to hear that! I've never come across a bangaii cardinal trying to host an elegance coral or any coral for that fact before. Glad to hear the female is safe at least.
