Don’t ruin your block of cheese. Worlds BEST slicing method

  • There are lots of cheese cutting tools out there, but they all end up wasting a bunch of cheese can giving you slices that are way too thick. Keep it simple with this awesome hack to cut and slice your block of cheese into perfectly thin pieces!
Guest host "Chef Grizzly Adams" at your service. (Compliments of Covid-19 work from home and no need for a haircut the past 9 months!)

I have bought four different slicers/planes/wire thing and, none of them really did a good job. The cheese always ended up in bits.
Last week, I tried my regular sharp knife but, no better and, because it is so sharp, the way it would sort of jump out of the cheese block was quite dangerous.
I saw your video so, thought I would give it a try. I have a pretty darn sharp bread knife which I really hardly ever use.
I had never imagined using it for cheese
So tried it out and.................... I couldn't believe it. It was perfect...........just like yours ! This is a game changer for me. Now I can have lovely slices of cheese on my toast instead of these unsightly broken bits of nasty crumble.
Thanks for such a grrrreat tip !

This is a very silly "hack" video. You are taking a "thick" bread knife and cutting cheese with it. And you call yourself "Chef Grizzly Adams". For those that didn't look him up, he is not a chef, he works in finance and Grizzly Adams was a TV show in the US from 1977-1978.

Can you use a mandelin to cut your cheese some are adjustable . You buy block cheese it is sometimes half the price so using a mechanical device that can give mm thickness is useful.

Angled slicing!? Blasphemy! Just get a sharp knife with a sufficiently long blade. And don’t let your young kids try to cut the cheese. (My kids are always cutting the cheese wrong - and pulling their fingers doesn’t even help!)
