"It's all about fun in the end." That right there is so refreshing to hear from a developer. The Halloween decorations are amazing, beautiful work on them. Can't wait for Nightingale City, been having a blast so far so I'm hopeful for the future.
Really appreciate these Dev bites. Although I'm not playing the game at the moment, I do keep up with the subreddit and this channel for news about it. I will hopefully get some to jump back in soon and checkout all the new stuff. Thanks for not giving up on the game, looking forward to the new contents you guys are cooking !
The Nightingale team is a prime example of how to do early access (and really, community interaction) right. Especially with the rise in early access popularity, more developers need to learn from why, why, and how you guys conduct your business. Thank you, and I will continue enjoying the great game you are making!
So appreciate these Dev Chats - thank you so much. I'm very excited about the game and it's future, and really want it to do well, so these insights are great. Delighted at the lifting of support restrictions - I will have enormous fun experimenting with that. On that note - do you need people to play with things on the PTR? I'd be more than happy to take part, offer feedback and help squash some bugs if that's needed. However I confess, waving a magic parasol, I'd prefer to wait for the live update. So I'm torn - would love to help but want to hold on to the anticipation. Glad to know Aaryn is watching Reddit too. Discord is of course great but I find it a little overwhelming with the mostly live chat. I prefer the slightly more...dry(?)...sedate formatting on Reddit. It's more like an old fashioned forum which is where I feel more comfy, being an ancient myself. I'd love to rejoin Facebook but it's a platform too many for me these days! Anyway good to hear you have all angles covered. ;) I'm also (I'm running out of words for 'excited' and risking hyperbole I think) thrilled at the prospect of reaching Nightingale itself. Can't wait to explore it! I hope there will be more story (Lots more story, she asks greedily?) and I do hope the layers/progression trees haven't capped out quite yet. I do have a request which I nearly posted on the Aha but perhaps it's ok to put it here. Would it be possible to make an Inflexion Official guide to magic use in the game? I don't honestly understand how magic works and combat spells don't seem to fit with my playstyle at the moment. I'd love a guide about how to get started, how to apply and how to cast? Thoroughly enjoying my return to the game and utterly absorbed by it over the last week or so. Many many thanks for this update and hope you and everyone at Inflexion are having a brilliant weekend. Kindest regards - Magenpie
Been playing since Day One, but I got my friends to join for Realms Rebuilt. Never experienced any bugs personally. Glad to see the structure support changed, that's awesome! Just yesterday I had to settle for an unsightly pillar in the middle of my base. I will still use pillars for visual effect. Love to see the update on Nightingale City as well!
The building limiting with the red indicator was something I privately wished was removed to I am surprised and delighted that you guys made that change. I appreciate your attitude towards the change too, thanks
Thank you thank you thank for giving us more freedom in building. The tile sets are so detailed and wonderfully crafted and I'm excited to push them further. Also thank you for making roof pieces with built in eaves it adds that extra touch of realism to the builds. If it's ever on your radar it would be awesome to have more snaps or even the ability to flip pieces upside down and such. I'm imagining a mirrored house build with half of the building being upside down.
Minecraft Logic is going to open up so many possibilities for building. Much better Parkour Challenges, Sky Bases so high we can only access them from a Lodestar, etc. Its gonna be awesome. And Super excited work on NG City has resumed! Expectations are high for that, i know you all will meet them!
@@Shrike_Games Already doing some of that by building on a floating POI. The new logic, however...I can make my own floating POIs! Can't wait to try building around some more unusual objects.
Building system was already the best, this will make it WOWWEEE. Also when you mentioned the city of Nightingale you might have heard my 'woooo hoooo' all the way from here in Australia
Picked up the game a few days ago and I absolutely love it. The realms are beautiful and there is a lot of potential for growth, I am really looking forward to play more and see how it evolves during the years.
Love less building restrictions, great change! Really hope to see a way to change the color of walls (especially the wallpaper on the Regency set) and add more customization to building, some triangle or rounded pieces would be great especially as towers are so common in Victorian arcitecture. In the future I hope the Halloween event is added 2 weeks before Halloween (as it is in many other games) but understandable if that doesn't happen this year during EA! Really excited for Nightingale City, I would have loved to see this as an MMORPG but I think it lends itself really well to a OWSC and I'm hoping it might be possible to add some elements of MMORPG in the future to make it a bit of a hybrid.
I was really hoping there would be a Halloween event. I really feel like this game would lend itself well for fun holiday decorations and themes. Can't wait to see what you guys have got cooked up!
Fantastic news! Yeah totally right, it's all about Nightingale City, it has to be there and I'm sure will truly make this game shine. Looking forward to seeing it, but take your take and make it special. And great job on the last patch guys, it's obvious some serious work went into it!
I have been keeping an eye on your game since it went into EA but hesitated. When Realms Rebuilt came out I read so many positive reviews about the changes, so I decided to buy it. I have been enjoying it so much and from the sound of this, it sounds like it's only going to get better! Great work!
Oooh, this is nice. I'm not opposed to a restricting building system, but tbh, the state it is in right now feel indeed more like a hindrance (since things like pillars and stuff can't actually act as supports). And since we're living in a world where magic exists... well, no harm in breaking the laws of physics, especially if it make things more fun ! On another note, I do like the idea of NG city as the end goal. I could see it implemented as a realm that actually is the same for all players (for a given region). It would be pretty heavy on the connection side of things, having all those players at the same place, but it would give a really nice feeling of... well, all those realmwalker that lived all those adventures in a multitude of realm just finally getting back home. Can't wait to see what they'll be doing with this !
Like the updates, I hope follower NPCs get updated. I want to have a few working on mining and woodcutting while I'm in other realms farming high tier things. I always need wood for fires, also having them working for the defense of the base would be cool. Have them auto equip things like pistols and rifles to attack, and just re-equip harvesting tools. I would love to have a pseudo-town where I can have them working on collecting! Thanks guys! ❤ Edit: Also having them water and plant things would be amazing later on. Thanks again.
This sounds fantastic! Loving the game, although I'm finding the end game to get a bit boring, so maybe more new content would be good. Thanks for the building updates, that's one of the most fun parts of the game!
Removal of structural limits is very interesting - and allows us to also do some crazy things. Already have some great ideas on what to make next. Of course, there are concerns on how this could affect the other parts of the game, but perhaps time will tell if this is deleterious. Still, great work! Can't wait to play in the new update!
I did think Nightingale would make a great MMO the other day, I didn't know you originally wanted to do an MMO. I would love an MMO set in this universe, that would be my jam as long as I can play solo
Awesome game!! I'm having so much fun playing through for my first time.. Very cool , the update realm rebuilt was awesome 👍🏻 P.S. It's a gorgeous game !
sounds great guys. my biggest building block is the inability to put a wall on a floor above a floor with no wall there. sounds like this should fix it.🥳
Just an idea: an in-universe way to make floating builds and build pieces would be really cool. Like a spell or something you could use to float pieces up and lock them in the air, sort of like in Tears of the Kingdom. Best of luck to everyone on the success of the game 🖖
Felicitations and thanks good gentles. Assuming you do read these might I be so bold as to ask for swords as an additional weapon option in keeping with the spirit of the era- if you read Bernard Law Montgomery's biography sword drill was taught to British officers right up to the First World War. Also may I extend my congratulations on a most enjoyable and well crafted game especially the narrative aspect. My singular disappointment with the game thus far is that I have completed the aforementioned narrative and will have to wait for mor of it to come later.
I can not recomend this game right now but i hope i will in the future! :) I have played over 90 hours and reach end game. The game feel copy paste a lot and i really hope you will add more content over the months, years!
I kind of wish lifting the build restriction was through progression, and maybe an option. Would make a nice progression point that way if you wanted to play harder.
When you launch the new update will our save get wiped again if so i will just wait i have ocd n have to grab n break down fae chests so my walking speed sux wish there was like palworld grapple gun so ppl like me can move faster, lol???
Halloween event: Respectfully, what on earth was the plan? Hunt a total of 1,000 bound. Far too grindy! very little variety. (can we get a Halloween arena, if your going to make us grind the kills?) Your game is a fairy tale, you could have had us fighting to the death in a realm full of pumpkins.
Best and most open Devs. Other devs and publishers should take note, THIS is how you communicate with your community.
players take note. come back and play this game.
Yeah these folks know what it is… they are definitely 100% top tier people.

I cannot state just how amazing the developers of this game are, their focus and care toward the community is outstanding!
Thanks so much for the updates! I'm diving back into Nightingale this weekend with my mom for her birthday. Super excited. :)
Less building restrictions? Yayyyyyyyy!!!!! Those red walls have been driving me nuts, thank you for making building easier!

So basically we're now using Fae magic to make our homes float with no limitations.... I love it!

I love getting updates from the Devs. I'm so excited for the future of Nightingale!!
Thanks for making the building less restrictive. Much appreciated.

Very excited for the events and testing!
Yesss so excited for the story to progress!! Keep up the great work! Love the restrictions on building being removed!!
Nightingale City!! I can't wait until its added to the game; the whole idea of it always sounded amazing. Thanks for the updates! 💘

This game is amazing guys! I promise you guys will be so big. Way better than any other survival game!
We want Bulk NPC pickup and fast seed planting PC. Thanks for updating us and being an awesome dev team.
Ahhh I cant wait for this update! I wish I could win the lottery and throw money at y'all for how you listen to fans and work to make the game fun

@@GordonReidZA AHA Feedback! Then link it so we can upvote it. I think there are already a few sword suggestions.
Yes please add swords!
I do look forward to finally getting to Nightingale city, but please we need the promised dedicated servers. I want to host a clan server.

nightingale city will make me reinstall and get back into it. I like foundation of the game but just too early when it launched.
