The easiest way to calculate travel is just measure the distance between stick ends when the sticks are both in (facing each other) and when they're both out (left stick in the leftmost position and right stick at the rightmost). Then the difference divided by 2 would be the full stick travel.
I am really sorry to say anything Jonny, but I think you might have some significant audio level consistency issues when using your desk mic. Maybe just moving in and out of the optimal spot for your desk microphone. Regarding the engraved buttons on the older radios, I back filled the engraving on mine with paint pens and wiped off the extra. Totally fixed the legibility issue. BTW, ordered the GX12. Absolutely brilliant looking radio.

Measuring stick travel by the end of the stick is incorrect because longer stick ends would give bigger numbers. You should measure the angle of stick deflection, but it is hard to do
I'll pass on this one. I've got the boxer and pocket both with AG01 gimbals. Nothing peaks my interest with this radio. I wish Radiomaster would bring out a pocket version of the MT12 pistol radio!
