Milos Panic Actually PoE is greater Diablo now a days then Diablo itself... I think monsters from Blizzard know that fact. They ruined game of my life, i grew up playing Diablo.
olosh01 Dunno, PoE never really hooked me that much, it still lacked immersion and open world. It's a good game, but could have been much better.

MsFlamingFlamer Blizzard tried to make a colorful family friendly game and they also decided to cut out core elements of Diablo just because they wanted to prove to themselves that they can be different and better than D2 and D1...see how that turned out.
I am sorry Blizzard if that is not your policy anymore, but I want my Diablo game full of pentagrams, inverted crosses, burning impaled bodies all the satanic imagery...I want it dark and realistic, scary and gothic, those are the core elementes, you can't have a Diablo game any different.
I really hope they learned their lession with D3.

I've got one. According to official lore, many players in Diablo I kicked cows in hopes of finding the secret cow level, which did not exist. When Diablo was released at the end of that game, he put demonic spirits into the tormented cows and left them to revenge themselves on the hapless townsfolk of Tristram. This is why the secret cow level in D2 is where it is, and in fact Tristram was destroyed by the "hell bovines" which inhabit it, not the goat demons and skeletons and other things you find there in the game.

One of the most amazing things I've learned is that stamina potions stack duration.
Likewise man, I thought it was incredible when I found that out.
Did you know that antidote and thawing potions temporarily raises your poison and cold resistance respectively? I found out just a couple of month ago. Been playing diablo 2 for years :P

A cool trick I always enjoyed is to find tal's tomb without being on the quest you need to look behind the summoner at the 6 floating symbols an figure out which is the missing symbol.
Looking forward to the video about the creature which spawned the prime evils!

Z Moe just don't! Diablo 3 is pure garbage.
Here's what you missed;
A bastardization of Diablo with WoW-like graphics stripped of any form of character customization or progression, instead replaced with a bland set of class based stats and no real form of personal itemization other than "grind for X set for Y class" and then you hit the "grind Paragon and gem levels until you vomit" end-game. It's really bad, even if the actual combat does feel satisfying at first, it's just too hard to stomach the really horrible progression system they have in place. It's like, once you get your 6th set piece, there is no reason to play unless you want 100% perfect stats on everything or to *LOL* be competitive on Ladder.
The most annoying part is that they had a great working pvp system in the beta or demo of D3 before it came out, but they scrapped the whole thing and now there is no functional pvp system in D3. I'm still waiting for the day that they cap paragon points so paragon grinding doesn't become something you must do to get on a leaderboard
Quoc Tran I think it's a better idea to just wait for D4. I'm not sure Blizz will actually bother making it though since there are other Hack & Slay games out there which put D3 to shame.

There's no un-discovered runwords in Diablo II, like the Constriction Ring, that is known for a fact since item files have been searched.
There are however 2 runewords completed but not activated (again like Constriction Ring) which are Plague (for weapons) and Pattern (for 2-handed). And then there's Blood which has just been sat to fit in a helm.
remembering back at the earliest patches, there was some black platforms in act 4 diablo's sanctuary, u could port or leap to with packs of mobs on it
I didn't know the first 9, but the last one, I noticed it actually.
Knew everything. Including that you can trample the rabbits into bloody goo. Like the snakes in Act 3, bugs and arachnids in Act 2 and mice in Act 1.
Here's another cool and often overlooked thing: on Mephisto's floor in the Durance of Hate, there are ghostly forms called "Evil Force" which rise up from the floor near the portal. If they hit you, they can actually hurt you, and kill you.

One thing I suppose most people don't know about diablo 2, is that when you are in act 1, jail level 1 to 3 you have sections on the map that seemingly can't be reached without teleport.A fter further inspection you might notice that some parts of the wall look odd, click on it and it'll dissapear.
second, in City of the damned (act4) it sometimes (I assume about 1/8th of the times) spawns a fortress structure that contains breakable glass. The breakable glass called "An evil force" is treated by the game as a monster because it jas a life bar when hovering the mouse over it. the breakable glass has a filler name like missingo does in pokemon.
I found the second thing by myself and was quite shocked about how it looked.. definatly something you should try to find if you haven't seen it allready.

I've noticed the jail levels in act 1 can also generate with hidden rooms without any doors to them, I've gotten in them a few times via the Oculus' auto-teleport-when-hit feature. Good thing I had regular teleport, otherwise I would have had to quit the game to get out. :D

There is a mod that changes the game to an almost recognisable state.
New monsters, uber dungeons, item crafting, all new skill tree's ,new gem types, new items, and new maps.
The mod is called Median xl ultimative .

If you read all the quest talk, Decard Cain realised that The Summoner is actualy the Sorcerer from Diablo 1 that you can play as. He tried to control demons but went mad instead. The Rogue also went mad and joined Diablo, she is Blood Raven in Diablo 2 and the Warrior became the Dark Wanderer, who later turns out was possesed by Diablo. So there was no happy ending lol.
It's not looking to well for heroes of D2 either, Sorc was killed by an assasin and Barb died when Tyrael blew up the Worldstone i think, Blizzard said nothing about others so far.
The Constricting Ring dropped in the Original D2. There might be some people out there who still have it on Non-Ladder.

There aren't any secret runewords. The statement "be prepared to lose runes when it doesn't work" is referring to players trying to find runewords by guessing. If the runes don't make a runeword, they're still stuck in the item but now it's junk. Originally, all runewords were secret, but as the players discovered them they were made public. Eventually, the Arreat Summit website began putting in all official runewords even if they had not been discovered by players. (Probably because nobody would have ever discovered Breath of the Dying.)
Some runewords such as Dawn, Plague, or Blood were later removed, while others such as Widowmaker had their named changed. Widowmaker was changed to Grief.
Something you might not have known about the critters: you can step on them to crush them. This is seen more often with scorpions, spiders, and beetles which frequently run under the players' feet. But those bunny rabbits can also be crushed. Some critters can't be crushed, such as the chickens in the Rogue Camp.
Or modding the shortcut target with -Act1-5 and your new chars spawn in that act with a lvl bonus. or -Skiptobnet ect

I never noticed that. Also, Blizzard went out of their way to try and make Diablo 3 different from it's prequels and all it did was piss off fans of the originals. The fact that they spent so much time and resources into making console ports didn't help.
they just did poor crap work on diablo 3, the auction house sucked bad at the beginning, they keep trying to repair the game since the start cuz its pure crap. instead of releasing a good product, and keep upgrading it, they released a complete mess, no stats, no skill points, no runewords, the environements sucks ass, always too shiny, theres not 1 good thing I can think about diablo 3, I just don t understand wtf happened. even the items sucks, always the same type of bonus to expect from items like more strength int or dex, always the same crap, I switched to Grim dawn cuz its a lot better, but its no triple AAA studio with millions of $$ to spend on making a game. they did a lot better with not much money, but I can only imagine wtf theyd have achieve with the money that was waisted on making diablo 3.

How are they supposed to be noble paladins, wielder of the light, when they are primitive jungle people.
It is a fact that the corrupted Council and the Compelling Orb made those people insane, but they don't even remotely look like they have any connection with paladins or the city of Travincal could have been the holy place of the Faith of Light.

They used to be paladins, but after Mephisto forced them to create the Compelling Orb, and kill Que-Hegan (head of the Zakarum), the Temple of Light turned into the Blackened Temple. So, they became nuts, and went primal as they were corrupted by the influence of the Prime Evils. Of course they didn't look that way before Mephisto invaded, they were turned into those primitive creatures you see by evil forces.

I love this game just as it is, but I hope blizzard makes a VR - POV version of diablo 2 in the future. I would pay a million dollars to play through the whole game with that technology
heres another fact. The paladins smite wasnt supposed to hit all the time, the skill didnt trigger the flag to see if it hits, coupled that with grief, which also isnt supposed to be added to smite, makes smite the best combat skill for duels in d2

not many people know about how to get xtra distance on your teleport. open your skill tree and cast tele from the topmost corner and wala xtra distance. you can test this by setting a potion down and having 2 ppl try to teleport the farthest from it. I used to use this trick and win tons of items from betting other players in trade games.

Lots of people think the invisible is unreal, just as the devil is crafty and uses pretty much every game, has powers of lying and deception, so there is the righteous God who lets people live without them seeking him - it is possible to find him, as God has a Name and He is listening, sort of recording everything...he doesnt forget stuff he chooses to . I played this stuff for years myself too, but in the end it is a lie. Memories are great I suppose but it was a waste, I did play for 15+ hours a day even. But I suppose it was me escaping the violence, alcoholism, narcissism of a family into similar escape hole.
It's hilarious when items in game (d2) drop with the "you can not repair this item' and the 'repairs in x amount of seconds' stats.

This is off subject but, in case anyone else who, like me, is a huge Diablo fan and might possibly run into this extremely frustrating issue and need the info, I have decided to post it here...I am not on any Diablo forums but I CERTAINLY combed thru them looking for HELP: After installing Plugy into Median XL I kept getting this error message when trying to play - "Don't find buttons images file: unassign stats btns dc6"..After spending FOREVER trying to figure out the problem because no one had an answer, I did it! I had extracted a zip download of Plugy into my Diablo II directory.That does not work.You have to use the version 10 EXE download of Plugy (NOT the zip file download), and put it into the Diablo II directory, and run/install it from there.Man I was jumping for joy when I figured it out.Such a simple thing - but all the advice on how to install Plugy into Median XL that people were giving on forums was simply WRONG...Soo...truly hope this helps somebody else, maybe saves them some time and frustration...And btw I LOOOVE the bunnies and I WISH people cant squish them, shame on ppl wanting to do that, we need Modder Bunny Protectors! Take THAT, you sick socio-bunny-paths!

#5 zod used to ONLY drop in act 5, as of patch 1.12>, since patch 1.13+, zod can drop in all acts, and chances have increased.
I've picked up a few Zods back in the day, I was surprised at it's drop rate watching this vid.

Extra Graphic Effects
There was a time years ago a friend of mine gave me an 3dfx card to test with Diablo 2. I remember there were some extra glowing effects on the waypoints (purple to blue) and the roofs on the stables in the first level fade out instead of disappear instantly. it was at starting to play Diablo 2 so i cant say much about the other levels. maybe there is a way to reactivate these effects again over some emulation or a patch. I just can say there are hidden visual effects in Diablo 2 i never saw again without 3dfx graphics card.

#4 is wrong. That is the retconned lore for Diablo 3. In Diablo 2, and the Lore from when Diablo 2 was the main game, this was not the case. That entire story was changed for Diablo 3 and thus makes that a D3 fact.
