Audio was nice. Video a bit jerky. I have dissected this song a 1000 times… maybe 2000. As a die hard Aquarius (Rebs) it punches at a lot of my reality/story. Apparently I’m being drafted to play it in a few weeks. Thanks for this deeply personal gift. My tear ducts are fully functional
@@JulieMeyers I have never doubted your original content and I always enjoy it. One of my favorites of your post is "Trouble in Mind". That is so Epic with Rebecca's guitar distortion on it. Discovering Poe and your channel has made me happy over and over again.
Perfect - well almost 🥰. A thousand thanks Julie, and especially Rebecca and Megan. My introduction to Larkin Poe was the day I found the video of this track played at The Convent in 2016. It resonated with me then, and still does, with thoughts and memories of my own extended family. I wept the first time I heard it, and again today while watching this recording, with a sense they were playing just for me ❤. Anyway, enough of that - let me wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2025.
On an entirely unrelated note, 2024 has become a year that for personal reasons I can't look back on too fondly. My mum passed away on the 6th of January, and today, a week before Christmas, I have been told that her sister-in-law, a lovely and loving lady who had been married to my mum's only brother for 68 years, passed away 3 days ago. So for me, this year has been "bookended" by 2 sad losses, if not wholly understandable given their ages . So, as I often have in recent times, I will probably look to the music and talents of Rebecca and Megan to put a smile back on my face. If I may, I ask anyone reading this to raise a glass with me as we remember those closest to us who we will see no longer.

Bizarrely, even with the crippled mandolin, this is one of the very best versions of this song they've done.
Bravissime 🌹🌹
It’s amazing this song,gives me chills ❤❤
Wow. Stunning!
This fantastic, beautiful and tragic song definitely one of the best songs of theirs.
Poe and you always Rock, Julie! You astound us. There is no one like LP and the emotional intensity of this song.
I guess Virgil gave me this one, too. We should ask him. Haha.

Julie Tnx again for dippin into that bottomless stash of gold
Aversion of this classic I had not previously seen. Julie comes through again.

Haunting with three strings and a soaring slide.
Loving the 3 string mandolin 😂
Doesn't matter how many strings...RebL will still pull at your heart strings!!❤
Didn't like your Christmas present?
When Megan looks straight into the camera it makes me a bit uncomfortable, but in a good way. Thanks for sharing.
certainltly , a good detail .-
Love the living backdrop, Julie, Thanks!
Beautiful take. And of course, Rebecca can make it look easy on a mando with only three strings.
So beautiful❤️
Wow Julie! You're a real archeologist. I didn't know this excellent version. Thanks.
I recorded this live. Every note is 3/8. And 3/8 of the strings!
After listening to the lyrics, I must be as mad as a hatter. 😲
Wow ❤❤
That was awesome 👌
Who r u Julie?
Keep up the L&P
Love It❤
Julie is the MASTER historian of all things Larkin Poe!
