The Austin '8hp' pickup truck was known as the Austin A40 here in the UK, it was based on the Austin A40 Devon(4 door) and Dorset(2 door) saloon cars, Later versions were the Austin A55 pickups and vans based on the Austin A55 'Cambridge' saloons. Along with the Morris Minor pickups they were very popular as farm runabouts. Sadly, with our soggy British climate the majority have gone to the great parking lot in the sky thanks to rust.
