    I don’t for a second believe he’ll have no involvement in creative. The board told him they unanimously didn’t want him back and he’s still got himself back. He just can’t keep away and now he’s got back in the door I don’t see him keeping out of the way of creative.

      He will absolutely move into old roles eventually. If his goal was just a sale or media negotiation he would’ve gone with what the board offered. His big power move to do what he did is to allow him to make the move down the line.

    • @Matt-cr4vv
      @Matt-cr4vv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The talk of what he plans to do he needed to say because there’s be issues if he was transparent about it. He probably won’t make the move right away though. He will probably hold back for awhile to try and look like he’s honoring what he said he’d do. Then he will wait for an opportunity where something goes poorly and make his move so that he can make a rationalization that he stuck with the role but needed to step in for the best interest of shareholders. He’s trying to play this as a game to make it less transparent but we all know what will inevitably happen. For example, when he left he said he’d support the organization in every way he could. Yet when the Board didn’t go along with his return he made it so that he’s the only one who can approve the company’s major future. That doesn’t align but the shock of a return has let people forget that. He’s gonna try and do the same to transition back to power. If he doesn’t get a chance he may just do it anyways but he’s not stupid he will try to find a perfect time for it instead of bulldozing in.

    Vince is not going to sell WWE. Everything that has happened thus far has made one thing very clear: Vince will NOT give up his control. Simple as that. He's too stubborn and selfish to do so. He's coming back under that guise, sure - and maybe he would sell if he had 100% assurances that he would still be in control of the actual product... but no one is going to buy a company to not have full control of it - so I don't see it ever selling.
    Vince would rather run WWE into the ground than see it succeed without him. Simple as that.

      @fives. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but Ring of Honor would’ve been a hard sell for Shaheed Khan to have justified in his head. Logistics are the problem for the Khans buying WWE; if All Elite’s infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired four years in, then just picking up WWE’s existing infrastructure and just running it as is, is a questionable goal to undertake

    • @Booth55555
      @Booth55555 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fives. AEW's infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired four years in? AEW has a $175 million national TV deal, they have numerous other international TV deals in the tens of millions dollar range. No other wrestling promotion outside of WWE over the last 22 years has sold more tickets or merch or been more successful than AEW. AEW's last valuation was set at over $400 million dollars and the company has been making a profit every year since 2020 according to Tony Khan. Those are all positives. Additionally, if running a wrestling company is the pre-requisite to get financing then no other buyer outside of the Khans would be able to get it. Fact is, it's not. The Khans are owners in two major industries the NFL and the Auto Industry and because of that and their $15+ billion in capital, they can easily get financing to buy WWE. But hey, I told everyone exactly what power Vince has and exactly what he would do and how he would do it to get back on the board and nobody believed me. Trust me, The Khans can buy WWE if they want to and if Vince would accept it. 100% fact.

      “the company’s been making a profit every year since 2020 according to Tony Khan” - as a four-year old entertainment media operation, it’s doing incredibly well. As an established wrestling company? Even still it’s too soon to tell. Why, when they’re just figuring out how to get over serious human/public relations hurdles like you may have seen in the past year, would they purchase the WWE and give themselves even more work to upkeep? It makes zero logistical sense and it’d be a waste of money, especially when that money could be spent buying the entirety of the WWE’s roster that are about to walk out on humanitarian grounds and re-upping those TV deals (or better yet, getting better contract offers) which essentially renders your absolutist fact redundant
      Oh, and on the note of you telling everyone how Vince was gonna hostile takeover his own board of directors, all very well and good, but the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund is probably gonna buy this comment thread also so it ultimately doesn’t matter

    • @nu-metalfan2654
      @nu-metalfan2654 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Steve Levington. Around 2025 to 2026 Peacock has the rights to stream WWE.
      That’s one of the big reasons why Comcast/NBC U is the front runner to buy WWE, the other big reasons is NBC U have the TV rights to Raw and NXT on USA network, though that runs out in 2024.
      The only thing NBC U don’t have is SmackDown which is on FOX and that deal will be running out in 2024.
      Hulu also have some streaming rights for Raw, SmackDown and NXT but that is scheduled to run out in 2024.
      Everything runs out in 2024 apart from Peacock’s streaming rights which will run out in 2025 or 2026.
      Imo the 4 front runners to buy WWE are Comcast/NBC U, FOX, Endeavour (who own UFC), and the Saudi’s.
      And all 4 if they bought WWE would probably keep the McMahon’s/Levesque’s in charge. And personally I don’t want that.
      The other possibilities are Amazon, Disney, Netflix, Liberty Media, and Warner Bros Discovery (which are at the bottom of the list as Warner Bros Discovery want to cut costs).
      Vince I think is starting to look at potential buyers as WWE in 2 years from now might not be worth as much.

    Does Vince really think he'll stay in control after a sale with all the allegations against him? The allegations aren't "yeah he did some bad shit sorry" it's a whole mess of allegations. And then what if the new owners aren't aware of all the shit he's alleged to have done over the decades, like the Superfly and Nancy Argentino murder cover up that was featured in Dark Side? The man has too much baggage to stay in control. Even if a new owner thinks Vince is great, surely public pressure and everything would loom over the new owners until something is done about it.

    • @dogmd7
      @dogmd7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it's sold and restructured as a private company and it's someone that really likes him, there is nothing they would have to do about it. My real question is if WWE is sold for lets say $10 billion, Steph and HHH hold like 5% of the stock. That's a cool $500 million they can use to start their own wrestling promotion. And if they can replicate the success of AEW, which isn't losing money even on their first TV deal, they could feasibly use HHH NXT love to create a new organization. They could probably also get investors based on his success record so they don't have to put all the money on the line. Wrestlers and other wrestling people would love to a HHH/Steph organization. Would they do start a third brand??

    I know everyone is all Doom and Gloom right now, but I still have some hope. And yes it’s the hope that kills.
    The moment when I’m personally all Doom and Gloom is when there is likely of nothing changing, now there is a possibility of nothing changing, but there is also a possibility of things changing.
    When Vince “retired” we was all hoping of change, but change didn’t come.
    Hunter took over as head of creative and guys NOTHING HAS CHANGED with Hunter in charge.
    Raw and SmackDown still looks the same, still feels the same, NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
    I hope as a lapsed fan that Vince sells WWE to a company that wants nothing to do with anyone named a McMahon, Levesque or Khan. And whoever buys WWE will turn it back to being private and will want big viewership and will allow creative freedom to achieve that.
    All I want is for WWE to be a fun product like what it was 20 to 25 years ago again, that’s all I want. And for some reason people named McMahon, Levesque and Khan won’t give it to us.
