MINI-Z MA-020 AWD **Unboxing** Overview and Test Drive

In this video we go over everything you get out of the box when you purchase a Kyosho Mini-Z MA-020 AWD R/C car. I will also talk about some future upgrades you can get for it to improve the MA-020s performance as well as some other car bodies you can swap out. Towards the end of the video I give it a quick test drive on a garage floor to show you how it performs on a smooth concrete surface with the stock tires.

I'm having a hard time deciding between the ma020 AWD/ma030 or a mr030 RWD for my first mini z/drift car. I can't decide! For around the house and office only. No racing

The MA-030 would probably be the best out of the box for drifting but is also the most expensive and doesn't come with everything so you'll need to get a transmitter, wheels, body, etc. separately, the MA-020 is the cheaper option of course but needs upgrades to drift decent but can still be fun casual drifting. Just do your research on each car before you spend your money and make sure it's what you want. The MR-03/04 are really only good for racing but can still be fun around the house. There are other drift cars out there that may be cheaper or more expensive than a Kyosho one so check around to see if there is something else you want instead as well.

I’m torn between silver and white. Blue is too dark imo, even though it’s my favorite color. This would be my first mini z.

Any of them will look good either way imo. White will show dirt and scuffs easier so it'll be a lil harder to keep clean compared to silver or blue so it really comes down to what suits you. I'll be repainting my jade body to silver and blue like 2 fast 2 furious in the near future soon haha but welcome to the Z family, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it, they're just a lil hard to control when they are stock but can still keep you entertained for awhile until you decide to throw in some upgrades.

@@AirToGroundRCFPV Appreciate the feedback. Might have to go with blue. Yup, F&F was one of the reasons I wanted silver lol. I hope they are fun as people say! I’ll definitely watch your upgrades and follow that path.

@@BadmashKing8 No problem, yea you don't have to go the exact route with upgrades I did, you can put them on in any order you want. I was just making those videos for fun and to be honest they are a lil out dated now so I'm thinking of redoing them but breaking them up into shorter vids of each upgrade I think since most people don't wanna watch long videos lol so I'll make them around 5 to 10min each probably. They are fun and frustrating since AWD can be a lil tricky to drift depending on the floor and stuff so just a heads up.

@@AirToGroundRCFPV Yo, I actually ordered the white r33. It was on sale, in stock and it came with LEDs/Gyro already installed. I can change the body down the line. Basically I got the gyro and LEDS for free lol. I also saw on reddit that the r34 body does not have light buckets, it just has stickers. That kinda kills the realism.

@@BadmashKing8 Nice, I think I saw that one on eBay and thought that was a good deal. Yeah no lights on the R34 but if you look at my other vids you can see I added lights to mine and smoked out the head/taillights on my purple/blue one. You can see it on my shorts feed or Stage 2 and 3 vids. I drilled out holes in the headlights and wiped off the silver paint on the back of the taillight glass to let light through and they look pretty good. So they can be added to the R34 you just gotta put some extra work in. I cover a lot of this in my Mini-Z LEDs video as well. I hope you have fun with your new Z man
