I have my 125 mapped And it produces 275bhp with almost 400Ft-lb of torque! It certainly shifts. Mine has the ZF 8speed automatic gearbox which suits this engine perfectly

Dark side developments 125d project car hardly made 260 stage 1 with intake and downpipe, you may have inflated bhp numbers if you only have remap or they have cut out safety features.

      @@oliver3699 don’t know about that, but 2 independent rollers confirm 275 and it’s only a remap .

@@nathanw8929 oh that's strange, I'll take your word for it tho, I was thinking of getting mine remapped. You should look at darkside developments 125d video's. They have a race set up which is pretty cool

This is my current dream car here in Italy
They are still quite expansive with under 100k km, around 25k or more €
I came from a punto abarth with 280hp but I tried a 125d lci with a soft remap to around 270hp and it feels 10 time faster because of the almost absent turbo lag and big torquw from the twin turbo and the zf8 gearbox is amazing, first four gears are very short and you are always around peak power
For me main mods for any turbo diesel cars are egr removal, a more free flowing cat (200 celle are called here in italy) because if you remove it completely and with a very rich remap it would smoke and smell a lot, so remap it to someone capable
Induction kit and intercooler are also a must because inlet temperatures are high as every turbo/twin turbo engine

If you don’t have the msport brembo calipers they are also a must have because stock single piston are too weak for this kind of power and mass, better pads and braided lines would help but they are not enough.
Also suspension, stock bmw setup is too soft and “understeery” on the limit , you will sacrifice comfort a lot but for me is better to go with 17 or 18 inch wheels but with harder suspension
Than you can go crazy with swaybars etc if you want to track it or you do some spirited driving around mountains
