2005-2009 era was a very under rated time for people going through high school. My fellow 30 year olds now keep that sprite alive and never give up on being you and doing what you can to make the world a little brighter.

I was 12 when I first saw this video on TV. I was so intrigued, their sound was so weird, and the more I found out about them I just thought they were cooler and cooler. I had just started to realllyy like girls at the time. (I'm gay) And I think T+S shaped my sexuality in a way. I had fallen out of listening to their music, but about a year ago I was struck how much the lyrics resonated with me after my phone shuffled through The Con again. I'm almost 21 now. It's crazy, this album means a lot to me
Jessica Girdner Girl! This album came out when I was freshman in HS and and I was hooked. The N used to play their music video all the time. Nineteen and Soil Soil have a special place in my heat.
Oh lordy the teenage angst this brings back...so many of their songs narrated my teen years and feelings. They are forever in my top list of fave bands!
It's so sad that I didn't discover them in this era... I listened to them for the first time last year but it's like I've known them for a lifetime ! God I'm in love ❤️
I feel you!! I discovered them during 2014! But I feel like I've known them for so long!! Their banters always turn my bad days into good ones!! Honestly, I don't care what kind of music they make, cuz they always make great music! They're such beautiful human beings. Wish I had discovered them earlier!! 😋
I saw Tegan and Sara for the first time in 2008 in Cincinnati and they instantly became my favorite musicians.. I went out and got a tattoo from The Con’s album artwork. They’re still my favorite artists and I’ve seen them 6 times and met them once... though I’m a fan of all they do, nothing can compare to The Con for me.
@Rufio Quin That's so awesome. Aren't they the nicest people ever? Do you really share the same last name as them or is that just a name you use as an homage?
@@prozac623 Thanks for your comment. They are extremely nice. Tegan was definitely the more talkative of the two, at least in 2010 anyway. It was obvious how appreciative they were of the tattoo and that I had bought their ON IN AT book set (one of the two items I had them autograph). They were so kind. Quin is actually my last name, yes.
@@rufioquin2406 That's so awesome. I'm glad you had that experience. I had the chance to meet them a few times and my experience was the same. Tegan was not only more talkative, but seemed to be the one taking care of everything. One of the shows I went to, there were hundreds of fans that came to them afterwards, all seeking autographs and pictures. They spent time with each and every person in line, chatting freely and giving so much of themselves. I didn't have a smart phone at the time and I wish that I had a camera. Anyway, I was the last person on line and they chatted with me for about 10 minutes. Nicest people I've ever met, and that's saying something, because I've met some truly extraordinary people. That's so interesting that you share a last name with them. Enjoy your day!
"I listened in Yes I'm guilty of this you should know this I broke down and wrote you back before you had a chance to Forget forgotten, I am moving past this, giving notice I have to go" This song never gets old and never stops making me feel real emotions.
I first found out about Tegan and Sara from Jim Adkins of Jimmy Eat World who are melodic geniuses in their own right. Writing beautiful Melodies truly is a gift
I do love how emotive Tegan's expressions are when she sings. Even when merely doing a video, she still captures the feeling. And, I do love this song, as well. Great stuff.
Still so good. This album really helped me not to kill myself back in the day. I was so depressed but this whole album helped me come out alive. I legit Love you Tegan and Sara. Forever and always will!
10 years ago this came in 89.3 The Current in MN. This song made me cry out of the blue in the car for no reason. I ran and bought this album, cashier looked at me funny. Big black hip hop head made the best purchase that year buying this album.

I listened in
Yes I'm guilty of this
You should know this
I broke down and wrote you back
Before you had a chance to
Forget forgotten
I am moving past this giving notice
I have to go
Yes I know the feeling,
Know you're leaving
Calm down, I'm calling you to say
I'm capsized, staring on the edge of safe
Calm down, I'm calling back to say
I'm home now
I'm coming around, coming around
Nobody likes to but I really like to cry
Nobody likes me
Maybe if I cry
Spelled out your name and lists the reasons
Pain of heart
Don't call me back
I imagine you when I was distant
Non-insistent
I follow suit and laid out on my back Imagine that
A million hours left to think of you
And think of that
Calm down, I'm calling you to say
I'm capsized, staring on the edge of safe
Calm down, I'm calling back to say
I'm home now
And coming around, coming around
Nobody likes to but I really like to cry
Nobody likes me
Maybe if I cry
Encircle me, I need to be, taken down
Encircle me, I need to be, taken down
Encircle me, I need to be, taken down
Encircle me, I need to be, taken down
Nobody likes to
But I really like to cry
Nobody likes me
Maybe if I cry
